the 9th or the 10th? - we didn't really start questioning this until we took a deep dive into the role bdsm may have played in the murder of dee dee blanchard
                                                           Dee Dee Pitre
Our website is updated on a daily basis. We're regularly working on new leads as well as deep diving information we already have, so information may change as
truths are uncovered. We've only scratched the surface of this case, there's still so much more to discover.

Excerpts from Gypsy Rose Blanchard's 2024, 'memoir', 'My Time To Stand', are  interspersed throughout the website, to illustrate and reinforce that a false narrative continues to be promoted.
The first-person-plural point of view can be used as a means to increase the concentration on the character or characters the story is about.
"Dee Dee won't ever be able to answer anyone’s questions. All there will be is Gypsy’s story" (Michelle Dean, 2016)

Clauddinne Ann Pitre, (known as, 'Dee Dee'), was born on Wednesday 3rd May 1967, in Chackbay, Louisiana, a small town situated about an hour away from New Orleans.
Dee Dee was the youngest of 6 children born to Claude Anthony Pitre Snr and Emma Lois Gisclair.

Dee Dee and her 5 older siblings - (Anthony) Claude Jnr, Tate, Evans, Claudia, and Dorla  - were raised in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, a small Cajan town boasting a large fishing and seafood industry, situated along the Bayou.

Dee Dee's brother, Evans, tells us that when Dee Dee was brought back from the hospital, their mother made an announcement, "My mom said that she (Dee Dee) came along with all these sicknesses. Heart murmur and stuff like that". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
This information had apparently come as a complete surprise to Claude Snr, Dee Dee's father, who up until Emma's return home from the hospital, had believed his youngest child to have been born perfectly healthy.

Like many mothers of that generation, Emma would stay home raising her children, whilst Claude Snr would go out to work, providing for his large family working as a boat captain.
But according to Claude Snr, behind the façade of housewife and mother, Emma was also a thief, "A shoplifter and all kind of stuff. I don't know how many times she had to go to court for shoplifting and other things". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Claude further accuses Emma of financial abuse, claiming Emma stole, "Three or four thousand dollars from my daddy". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Claude Snr's 2nd wife, Laura, remembers how Emma would, "Go to the washeteria and she'd steal the people's clothes". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).

Gypsy's medical records contain information relating to Dee Dee's family history, presumably as reported by Dee Dee (Seen below); 'Beta thalassemia' is an inherited blood disorder that affects hemoglobin production and causes anemia.

Dee Dee spent her childhood years nursed and fussed over by her doting mother.
Due to her illnesses, Emma would never allow Dee Dee to engage in physical activities, so outdoor pursuits were strictly taboo for her frail, little Dee Dee.
Dee Dee's sister, Dorla, recalls how she and her other siblings were sometimes made to play outside to give Dee Dee the 'peace' she needed. Her mother would tell them, "Your sister's not feeling good. Your sister's got an upset stomach. She's got a headache. Y'all play outside. Be quiet. Leave her alone". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).

The loss of Emma's final child, a son named Todd, who passed away a few hours after birth on 22nd November 1969, could only have served to tighten Emma’s overprotective grip on her sickly Dee Dee.
Dorla remembers Dee Dee as being smothered by her mother, always by her side, like her shadow. She says it was as though Emma didn’t want Dee Dee to grow up and leave her, "So that she would always have her (Dee Dee) to hold on to". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).

And all the while little Dee Dee Pitre was watching and learning.

Dorla recalls, "Our bedroom was where all of us kids slept. But Dee Dee always slept with my mamma". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018), and Evans tells us, "We didn't get to go to college, but Dee Dee went to college. We didn't get a car when we were growing up, Dee Dee got the car. We knew if you wanted something you had to go out and earn it, but Dee Dee just wanted it and got it”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Dee Dee's sister, Claudia, remembers how, “Dee Dee was into beauty pageants and my mama went out and bought her the prettiest dress, the prettiest shoes. She was just all about the attention”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
When Claude Snr, Dee Dee's father, was asked what Dee Dee was like as a child, he responded, “She was okay. We were pretty close, me and her. Yeah. I would, I'd give her everything she wanted anyway. Whatever she wanted". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).

Saturday in the Pitre household was cleaning day, and Emma liked to keep a clean and tidy home. The children were all allocated chores to do, all except Dee Dee. Her brother, Evans, says, "She (Dee Dee) was not allowed to assist with chores. If Dee Dee didn't want to do it, well then she didn't have to, because of the heart murmur. It was used like a crutch for a long time". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
And just as Emma was soft when it came to Dee Dee, so too she was tough with her other children. Siblings Claudia and Dorla recall an incident when Emma had removed everything from a shelf that she wanted them to clean, and once cleaned, Emma had expected all the things to be put back in the exact same place. When the end result had displeased her, Emma had thrown a bag of flour all across the room, which she expected the sisters to clean up.
Dee Dee was also excluded from being punished, whilst the other siblings would be sent out to find switches (flexible sticks) to be punished with. And once punished, they would be made to kneel, whilst Emma quite literally rubbed salt in their wounds. (Source: The Good Wives' Network).

To her siblings watching her grow up, it seemed the older Dee Dee got, the more conniving and manipulative she grew, with Evans describing her as, "Going out of her way to be different, by herself, a loner, and that's what she liked”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
They also claim that Dee Dee would steal from her own family, usually in retaliation for when things didn’t go her way.
Evans even suggests, "Dee Dee was basically not as sick as it was to believe". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
He would go on to say exactly the same thing about his niece, Gypsy.

Clearly the inference is that Dee Dee was Emma's favoured child. And who's fault was that? According to those who witnessed it, Dee Dee's of course.
Even as a baby, a young child, a teenager, Dee Dee is cast in the role of the villain.

Dee Dee’s best friends growing up, Suzette and Titania, perpetuate the negative image of a young Dee Dee Pitre, referring to her as, 'a mean girl who was obsessed with celebrities'.
They recollect how during their senior year, Dee Dee told them she was in a romantic relationship with the lead singer of a popular band, Night Ranger.
Dee Dee, who was head of the Night Ranger fan club, showed them handwritten, signed letters that the singer, Jack Blades, had supposedly written to her. She even had a framed, handwritten note from him on her wall, and a photo taken with him on her bed stand. (Source: The Good Wives' Network).
After high school had ended, they’d all three attended a Night Ranger concert in New Orleans, and had fleetingly met the singer afterwards. Although the contact was brief, it was long enough for Dee Dee's friends to realise that the singer had no idea who Dee Dee was, and clearly wasn’t in a relationship with her.
In June 2025, Kristy Blanchard, the second wife of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's biological father, Rod Blanchard, made a surprise appearance on a TikTok live - during which Kristy was referred to as a, 'celebrity'.
Kristy Blanchard related to the panel that Dee Dee once told her she was a 'groupie' for the rock band, 'White Shark'. Kristy continued, "And I was like, 'Really?' She's (Dee Dee) like, 'I was in the thank you' (for the record, 'Once bitten, twice shy') ... She said that, like, they thanked her in there and in the back of my mind, I'm like, 'So they were thanking you for being on your knees a lot?" (Credit: Sassymissy  Source: Morgan Allena).
Really Kristy?
Really?
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Dee Dee’s friends also revealed Dee Dee's interest in witchcraft and satanism, pointing towards 3 or 4 books Dee Dee had in her bedroom relating to the subject, and to Dee Dee's then favourite TV series, 'The Lost Boys', which centred on 2 brothers fighting a gang of vampires, a hugely popular series at that time.
They also remember that it was Dee Dee who raised suspicions of a supposed cult operating in their area, citing incidents of cats and dogs disappearing to substantiate her claims, suggesting they were stolen for 'sacrificial purposes', and they further suggest it was Dee Dee who introduced them to going to bars, mentoring them in the art of how to pick up guys and get them to buy drinks for you. (Source: The Good Wives' Network).

Eventually the friendships would fizzle out and the girls would go their separate ways, with Dee Dee enrolling in college and going on to work as a nurse's aide.

Gypsy alleges in her ridiculous 2024 'memoir', ('My Time To Stand' and use made up memories), that the second paragraph above relates to a band called, 'Great White' and their lead singer, 'Jack Russell', but we lean more towards what Dee Dee's friends say.
Dee Dee was still following Night Ranger and Jack Blades, on the Twitter (X) account she shared with Gypsy, right up until the time of her death. There was no sign on her profile of Great White or Jack Russell.

The media picture painted of Dee Dee’s childhood and teenage years, sketched out by her siblings and old 'friends', reveals a spoilt and closeted child, gathered up to her loving mother’s apron strings and tied there by illnesses she may or may not have had. A child taught by an overindulgent and controlling mother who wanted to keep her last child with her forever, that being ill was a blessing that led to preferential treatment, that manipulative and criminal behaviour got you what you wanted.
A pampered favourite obviously resented by her siblings.
The friend your parents warned you about.
Mad, bad and dangerous to know Dee Dee Pitre.
A child who sounds eerily familiar in so many ways to the daughter she was yet to bear.

In 2017, Laura Pitre made the observation, "Her (Dee Dee) mama was a bit like her". Claude Snr agreed, "Yeah. Her mama too". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).

No.
The child doesn't teach the mother, the mother teaches the child.
Dee Dee Pitre was a bit like her mother, just as Dee Dee's daughter, Gypsy, would be a bit like her.

And so the stage was set for the horror story that was about to unfold.
Dee Dee Pitre. The antagonist with her scheming ways and her interest in the dark arts.
But is that what Dee Dee Pitre was really like?
Not according to some other high school friends who spoke about Dee Dee shortly after her death. To them she was happy and fun and a good friend to have, and far from being controlling, her mother, Emma, let Dee Dee do whatever she wanted.
To them, Dee Dee Pitre had a life they envied.
But that's not what the Gypsy train wants you to hear.
"In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes" (Andy Warhol)

Not one of Dee Dee (Pitre) Blanchard's brothers or sisters had anything particularly nice to say about Dee Dee after her death, not in front of a camera at least.
Although attesting to love and miss their youngest sibling, they couldn’t recall a single, happy memory of Dee Dee to share. (Source: The Good Wives' Network).
Maybe the smouldering flames of sibling resentment raged on, or maybe their good memories were corrupted by the false narrative created by others that presented Dee Dee Blanchard as a modern day Frankenstein's monster.
Maybe they were nudged in the direction of the Gypsy train where there was no room in business class for tender thoughts.
But in Frankenstein's story, the 'fiend', the 'wretch', the 'devil', the 'ogre' was never the monster.
The monster was the one who created the creature.

One of Dee Dee's sister's, Dorla, would later claim that Dee Dee had a different father to all the other siblings, that Emma had 'strayed' from the path of wedded respectability.
There are plenty of skeletons lurking in closets in this case, we do not feel that's a closet door that needed opening.
A friend of another of Dee Dee's sister's, Claudia, recently spoke out on a social media platform stating Dee Dee's siblings, "Miss their sister. No matter what anybody says, they miss her". (Source: @ivoryroseknows, 8th August, 2024).
That's debatable.

When Laura Pitre was asked if she had felt sad when she heard Dee Dee had died, she responded, “I didn’t believe it. It just didn’t sink in. It took a few days before, you know. I didn’t believe that she was dead. I thought it was another one of her tricks”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
When Dee Dee's father was asked if he thought his daughter had got what she deserved, he answered, “According to Gypsy she did, yes". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017). Claude's second choice, Laura, chimed in, “Yeah. Yeah, she got what she deserved”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).

Bobby Pitre, the son of Dee Dee's brother, Claude Jnr, says news of Dee Dee's death left him wondering, “Who did Dee Dee piss off now, you know? What kind of shit did Dee Dee get into? I wasn’t thinking, 'Oh my God, my aunt’s dead', because I figured one day she’d piss off somebody to that point. And I did actually think it would be Gypsy, you know”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
It's hard to imagine how Bobby Pitre reached this conclusion given he hadn't physically seen nor spoken to either Dee Dee or Gypsy for (according to Bobby Pitre himself) many years. It's also hard to take seriously a man who can't seem to remember exactly how many years he hadn't seem them for.
In a Springfield News-Leader article, dated, 16th June, 2015, Bobby Pitre stated he had not spoken to Dee or Gypsy for 15 years prior to Dee Dee's murder, which would have made Gypsy around 8 years old when he last saw her.
In a totally different interview, 'busying himself' Bobby Pitre also gave on 16th June, 2015, he stated he hadn't seen or spoken to Gypsy since she was 7 or 8 years old.
In a 2024 podcast interview, 'still hitting the media trail', Bobby Pitre stated he had not seen since Gypsy since she was 4 years old. (The Outlier podcast 12th January, 2024).
Bobby Pitre sure had some harsh things to say about a woman he couldn't accurately recall last seeing, stating in 2017, "I wish that Dee Dee would come back to life right now, so I could kill that b***h as slow as possible". (Crime Online, 27th June, 2017), and in 2019, "She (Dee Dee) was pretty f**king crazy. She deserved to die". (Newsweek, 14th February, 2019).
Bobby Pitre likely had little personal knowledge of Dee Dee Blanchard at the time of her death, what he did have though, besides an over-inflated ego, was a business still reeling from the after effects of the worst oil disaster in US history, the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
A business in need of funds.

Rod Blanchard, Gypsy's father and Dee Dee's ex husband of nigh on 25 years, is of the opinion, "I don't think Dee Dee deserved to be killed. I mean, what she did was definitely wrong. There's no question that you don't do that to your child. But there's not a lot of love lost now". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
There doesn't appear to have been a lot of love there in the first place.
Not for the wife, nor for the child they shared.
Kristy Blanchard, Rod Blanchard's second choice, claims she was, "in shock" when she heard the news about Dee Dee, "You know, you never want to think that someone you love is capable of doing something so horrendous". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
At the time of Dee Dee's death in 2015, there wasn't a single mention of the much 'loved' step-child on Kristy Blanchard's social media pages.
Nor on Bobby Pitre's.

According to a New York Post news article published in 2017, neither Rod nor Kristy Blanchard had physically seen Gypsy for 11 years prior to Dee Dee's passing, "As Dee Dee and Gypsy moved farther away from Rod and Kristy’s home in Cut-Off, La., they stopped seeing them in person; their last visit was when Gypsy was 12 years old." (New York Post, Andrea Moribito, 9th May, 2017).

Gypsy was a little over a month shy of her 24th birthday when her mother was murdered. Rod and Kristy Blanchard hadn't seen her for almost half her life, yet in the aftermath of Dee Dee's death, Kristy Blanchard took centre stage in creating the false narrative of a story that was never hers to tell, immersing herself in anything and everything Gypsy, and doing whatever she possibly could to destroy a murder victim's reputation.
Almost a decade later, she hasn't shifted position.
And so the monster, Dee Dee Blanchard, was created.
And the sheep blindly followed the self-appointed shepherd.

When it came to the question of what to do with Dee Dee’s remains, Claude Snr reports, “I know that all the brothers and sisters don’t care about Dee Dee no more. She got cremated. I said, 'What you want me to do with the ashes? Everybody said, 'I don’t want her, I don’t want her'. I told them, (Laughing) 'Throw that in the toilet' ". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Laura Pitre jokes, "Her sister said, 'Flush that in the toilet' ". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Claude Snr continues, "She (one of Dee Dee's sisters) said, 'We’re going bring that in mama’s room, make her a mass and everything'. I said, 'You gonna pay for it? I’m not paying for it. We can’t afford it. Flush it in the toilet' ”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).

'That' had a name. Dee Dee Blanchard. A name that too often overshadowed by the name of the daughter who initiated, planned and orchestrated her murder.

Dee Dee's sister, Claudia, claimed to have held on to Dee Dee's ashes.
And there Dee Dee remained, in a bag on a shelf in a shipping box until January 2025, when a group of followers of the case, led by SiR mOrBiD x  kindly and generously pitched in to purchase an urn for Dee Dee (seen on the right) which was forwarded to Dee Dee's sister; a gesture Dee Dee's family hadn't fulfilled for nine and a half years.
As of March 2025, Dee Dee's ashes still remained in a bag on a shelf in a shipping box ...

Evans Pitre
When news of Dee Dee's death first broke in 2015, people immediately took to social media discussion groups to talk about the case.
Included in these discussions were people attesting to know Dee Dee (Pitre) Blanchard personally.
One lady in particular, who claimed her family had been friends with Dee Dee for 15 years, made several posts in the days following the murder as to Dee Dee's character, warts and all.
The author doesn't shy away from labelling Dee Dee a con artist, but is also quick to refute that Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen By Proxy, "Dee Dee didn't want Gypsy to be physically hurt".
She also makes a less than flattering reference to Rod Blanchard.
When revisiting these posts, there is a clear sense that in the aftermath of Dee Dee's passing, feelings towards Rod and Kristy Blanchard were largely negative, with people questioning their sudden interest in Gypsy.
Why weren't any of these good people invited to appear in the 2017 HBO documentary, 'Mommy Dead And Dearest'?
Why were Bobby Pitre and Kristy Blanchard, people who barely knew anything about Gypsy's life, or Dee Dee's - both admins of the trashy 2015 Facebook group, 'Bobby Pitre Groupies! Lol" - asked to appear?
And why was Bobby Pitre hitting up social media pages a day after Dee Dee's murder, when his own much-loved 49 year old mother had died, suddenly, just over a month earlier?
Is it normal behaviour to crucify somebody else's mother, a mother you hardly knew, when you had just experienced the traumatic loss of your own?
The aroma of fame does strange things to some people, doesn't it just.

On 9th December, 2019, Bobby Pitre, a licensed tattoo artist, uploaded an image of himself tattooing his daughter's foot. She was 15 years old.
Just an observation.
Get your own house in order, Bob.
