Dee Dee Pitre And Rod Blanchard
Our website is updated on a daily basis. We're regularly working on new leads as well as deep diving information we already have, so information may change as                                          more truths are uncovered. We've only scratched the surface of this case, there's still so much more to discover.
Excerpts from Gypsy Rose Blanchard's 2024, 'memoir', 'My Time To Stand', are  interspersed throughout the website, to illustrate and reinforce that a false narrative continues to be promoted.
In 1990, 23 year old Dee Dee Pitre met 17 year old Rod Joseph Blanchard Jnr, born 25th March, 1973.

In 2017, Rod Blanchard recalled his first meeting with Dee Dee, "Dee Dee and I, er, met at the bowling alley one night. Met up again a couple of weeks later. And then we started dating then". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
In 2018, Rod added a bit of context to the script, "I'm at the bowling alley hanging out one night to hear a band, and I see this girl. She looks a little different. She doesn't look like she's from around here. The way she dressed and carried herself. She stood out from the crowd, definitely. I was 17 years old. I was wild as a weed. She's a little older than me, but I got her phone number and we started dating after that". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
In 2019, Rod recalled and expanded on the meeting yet again, this time as the guest of TV personality, Dr Phil, "I met Dee Dee, uh, at a bowling alley one night. Was out, was about 17 years old. So I saw her, she was there at the bar with a friend. And she looked a little different, you know. She was dressed different. And I thought she might have been from out of town or something, so I approached her and I said, 'Hey, where are, where are you from? You know, you don't look like you're from down here or nothing'. (New Orleans). So we kind of met like that. Started talking. I bought her a drink. We hung out that night and started dating from there. I thought she was pretty cool. She was pretty different". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
And there you have it.
Let's move on.
Dr Phil says, let's not.
Dr Phil says, let's use a bit of dramatic license to further besmirch the memory of the vile, immoral being that we want you to believe Dee Dee Blanchard was, by implying she was a paedophile.
Let's ignore the fact that Rod admits he approached Dee Dee and bought her a drink, perhaps using fake ID, and instead cast Dee Dee Pitre, who had just popped into the bar after work with a group of friends, in the role of a predator.
And so an outraged Dr Phil immediately picks up on what Rod hasn't made an issue of in the preceding 2 years, the age difference, (Dr.Phil) "Dee Dee was 24 when she started dating (stressing) 17 year old Rod. Yeah, you heard right. He was only 17". (The Killer Thorn of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
And you heard wrong Dr Phil, Dee Dee was 23.
Note that Dr Phil is not incensed by the fact that 17 year old Rod was drinking in a bar and buying alcohol, even though the legal age for purchasing or publicly consuming alcohol in the United States is 21. Yeah, you heard right. 21. Dr Phil is instead infuriated by something that was, and is, perfectly legal in Louisiana; A relationship between a 17 year old and a 23 year old.

You would think that would be the end of the 'When Rod met Dee Dee' story but, alas, no.
In 2024, Rod is back on the subject again, this time cashing in on Dr Phil's outrage and owning it as his own, something the Gypsy train seems to do a lot, (Rod)
"I was 17 years old, and I think she (Dee Dee) told me she was 21. She was actually 23". (The Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose, 2024).
Dee Dee's age, which seemed of no importance to Rod when he reported it in 2017, 2018, and 2019, is now snatched up and used by the Gypsy train as more ammunition against Dee Dee, because controversy sells tickets and ticket sales equal dollars.
What started out as an inconsequential, 'We met, we started dating' culminates into 'Poor innocent Rod preyed on by the siren, Dee Dee Pitre, the corrupter of young boys', leaving a bitter taste in our mouths.
That's how the Gypsy train plays you.

Rod also remembers Dee Dee as being, "Into some dark, darkness. Dark things. Uh. She started talking about witchcrafts and just different, weird, dark stuff, I guess. It was kind of weird. She had a pet tarantula".  (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
An interest in witchcraft is not uncommon in Louisiana culture, and many of us have known at least one person who had a pet spider, but the Gypsy train is quick to grasp on to anything that paints Dee Dee in a bad light. Dee Dee Pitre, the sorceress of the Bayou.

Rod also recalls, "She (Dee Dee) had a car, I didn't have a vehicle, so she kind of drove me around". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
And, bingo. A clapped-out ford fiesta was probably of more interest to Rod than their respective ages, but now of course, their ages take precedence over everything else, and the damage is done.
What a wicked, wicked woman young Dee Dee Pitre was.

Rod Blanchard follows a similar pattern with the announcement of Dee Dee's pregnancy.
In 2017, Rod reveals, "She (Dee Dee) got pregnant". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).

In 2018, Rod reports the same news with a bit more context, “She (Dee Dee) told me one morning that she’s got some news, that she’s pregnant, so I was like, 'Really? Oh really? Already?' (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
In 2019, Rod tells us, "Came in from the shrimp boat. She said, you know, 'I need to talk to you. I'm pregnant'. I was like, 'Wow, really?' Said, 'You told anybody?' She said, 'No, not really'. (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).

By 2024, Rod, once a man of three words, now appears schooled to focus less on news of the pregnancy and more on what fuels the train, namely, his age, revealing, "We were only dating 3 months when Dee Dee told me she was pregnant. I was 17 years old". (The Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose, 2024).
In case you missed it the first time, or the second time, or the third time, or the fourth ... Rod Blanchard was 17 years old.
But it's not like Rod was riding on a school bus sucking on a lollipop when he met Dee Dee, he was in a bar, likely drinking alcohol as well as buying it.

In a 2016 interview, Rod Blanchard told Michelle Dean, the future producer of 'The Act', that he and Dee Dee, "Dated for four to six months" before Dee Dee fell pregnant. (Michelle Dean, Buzz Feed News, August 19th, 2016).
'So many interviews, so little time' seems to frazzle Rod Blanchard's brain; Maybe he dated Dee Dee for 3 months. Maybe 4 months. Maybe 5. Hold up, maybe it was 6 months.

Lights. Camera. Action.
Rod’s current wife, Kristy Matherne Blanchard, the promoter of all things Gypsy, says in one of her endless media appearances, that Rod's mother, who was working at the local library at the time Rod and Dee Dee started dating, later recalled Dee Dee going into the library and withdrawing a book, ‘How To Get Pregnant'. (Source: The Good Wives' Network).
Kristy claims in all dollar-gaining seriousness, that Rod and Dee Dee's daughter, Gypsy, was born exactly 9 months after the library book incident.

Rod reports that following Dee Dee's pregnancy reveal, he, "Felt it was important to get married" (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
In the same documentary, Rod tells his audience, “Being from the South, I guess, I was raised where, you know, if you got a girl pregnant, then you got married. There was no other question about what you did. I was 17”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
So Rod selflessly stepped up and did the right thing by the 'morally depraved', Dee Dee Pitre, advising us that, "She (Dee Dee) wasn't a terrible person. I wasn't really in
love with her, madly in love with her, so I said, 'Well, you know, she's a good girl. She's got a good family. I'll eventually, you know, learn to love her more, and stick it out and do the right thing' ". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
What a damn good egg Rod Blanchard is.
Gypsy would later claim in her trashy post-prison 2024 'memoir' ('My Time To Stand' but not crawl into a hole and get on with my life) that Rod wasn't really into Dee Dee. (Rod), "I'll eventually, you know, learn to love her (Dee Dee) more".
Daddy issues right there.

But as noble as that sounds, and as chivalrous and upstanding as it makes young Rod appear, especially against the backdrop of the picture painted of Dee Dee, Rod and Kristy Blanchard conveniently forget to mention, perhaps overlooked in their quest to establish Rod's integrity whilst completely obliterating Dee Dee's, that Rod was dating a girl 'younger than 17' when he first locked eyes on Dee Dee Pitre across a crowded bar.
Yeah, you heard right. 'Younger than 17'.

And so on the 27th December 1990, Dee Dee Pitre and the not so gallant after all, 'trapped by a library book', Rod Blanchard, joined hands in holy wedlock.

Dee Dee's parents were able to bail their future son-in-law out of jail just in time to attend the service; Rod had been arrested the night before for being, "Drunk and stupid" (Source: @ivoryroseknows 8th August, 2024), after he had got into a drunken brawl and then drove Dee Dee's car into a ditch whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Stupid goes without saying, but fighting? Drinking? Driving whilst under the influence, without a licence?
Now that's not something the Gypsy train was quick to report. Not to us or to Dr. Phil.
Gypsy finally confirmed the above information in December, 2024, years after most of us had already found it out for ourselves, but she didn't condone Rod's behaviour, rather, she excused it as the actions of a 17 year old teenager who was just out having a good time.
Tell that to anybody affected by the loss of a loved one to a drunk driver.

♫ Mind the gap ♫
Kristy Blanchard, Rod's current wife, says she met Rod during high school, 4 years before he met Dee Dee, and considered herself and Rod to be the 'best of friends'. She describes Rod at that time as being a, "nice, outgoing, funny character". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
Kristy was born on the 10th April, 1971 and is 2 years older than Rod.
Yeah, you heard right. 2 years older than Rod.

Kristy claims she first met Dee Dee when Rod and Dee Dee started dating, and says she initially liked her, "She (Dee Dee) was real sweet, real nice, and I could clearly see that she was (dramatically) in love with Rod". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
Steady on there Kristy, you sound a tad jealous.
Kristy claims that Dee Dee had no issue with her and Rod’s relationship, sorry, 'friendship', at that point, but let's not forget that Dee Dee is no longer here to dispute that.

Although attesting to like Dee Dee, Kristy had refused to attend the wedding ceremony on the grounds that she believed Rod was making a huge mistake. She says she felt Rod was only marrying Dee Dee out of a sense of duty, perhaps hoping that her feelings, marked with her absence at the wedding, would prompt Rod not to go through with the service.
What a woman of principle Kristy Terese Matherne was.
However, Kristy's refusal to go to the wedding did not extend to her visiting the bar where the wedding after party was held, where she turned up with a group of her friends in tow.
What, underage Kristy Matherne going to a bar?
Underage Rod Blanchard in yet another bar?
Tuxedo-clad Rod must have been overjoyed to see 'best of friends' Kristy, because newly married and sporting a wedding band, Rod would inexplicably (or, predictably) successfully shove his 'wild as a weed' tongue down Kristy Matherne's throat, outside the apparently only bar in town she could have possibly visited that day. (Source: The Good Wives Network).

Rod’s romantic advances towards Kristy at what was effectively his wedding reception hints at there being more to Rod and Kristy's relationship, sorry, 'friendship', than we are led to believe. There aren't that many men who lunge in for a kiss with their female 'best of friends' on the day they get married.
So why did Kristy decide to visit the bar?
We're thinking, ♫ It should have been me ♫

The much encouraged idea of the despicable child-snatcher, Dee Dee Pitre, luring the 'I was 17 years old', Rod Blanchard, into fatherhood and marriage is constantly put out into the media by the Gypsy train, smothering any questions we may have about the relationship, sorry, 'friendship', that already existed between the future, Mr. and Mrs. Rod and Kristy Blanchard. It is used to vilify and demonize Dee Dee in a way that distracts from an alternative likelihood hiding in plain sight. Maybe it wasn't Dee Dee who was pulling Rod Blanchard's strings. Maybe it was someone else.
This is an example of a Gypsy train distraction. Look out for them. If a lie is told, it's usually told to hide a truth.
Expose the lie.
Discover the truth.
Kristy says she rejected Rod’s advances on the basis that Rod was a newly married man (not because he was only 17?), but one has to question what she was doing attending the bar in the first place. It seems highly unlikely she was there to toast the happy couple given her disapproval of the match, so we can only view it as an attempt to gain Rod's attention and ruin Dee Dee's big day.
And hence the battle for ownership of Rod Blanchard Jnr began.

Dee Dee had actually stepped outside and found her new husband and Kristy locked in a passionate embrace, and had immediately called Rod to join her inside.
It has been claimed that Kristy said Rod told her if she had turned up at the wedding ceremony he wouldn't have married Dee Dee.
Kristy reports that Dee Dee's friendly feelings towards her did an about turn shortly after this. Blimey, there's a surprise.  (Source: The Good Wives Network).
What a wonderful start to married life for the new Mrs. Dee Dee Blanchard.

(Excerpt below) Rod Blanchard, what a catch! Chatting up other women at his wedding reception and getting paralytic drunk. And how do you get caught 'awkwardly' in a lie? A lie is a lie, is a lie. And why did Kristy Blanchard lie in the first place? What an awful wedding day Dee Dee must have had. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and make a mockery of the justice system).

It will come as no surprise to learn Rod and Dee Dee separated just 3 months after marrying.
Rod relays this information to us in his usual 'schooled as time passed by' style, beginning with, "I woke up on my 18th birthday, and I'm like, 'What am I doing here?" (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017), followed up in 2018 with, (Rod) "I just never developed that special place in my heart for her. We was married only 3 months". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018), and concluding in 2019 with the lengthy, "I woke up on my 18th birthday, I just felt like, 'What am I doing here?' I don't, you know. And er, I made the decision that morning that, that, you know, I need to get out of here. I didn't feel comfortable. I didn't feel like, it felt right. You know, I knew I was gonna be the father to a child, but I could still do that and not have to sacrifice my whole, my whole life, and, you know, I still had so much ahead of me to, to look forward to, that I felt like it was a big step. I made the wrong choice. I just left, you know". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
And so Rod Blanchard did an Elvis and left the building, despite Dee Dee being in his words, "The perfect Southern wife, a really nice girl, very polite, very generous”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
'Best of friends' Kristy Matherne had been right all along. Perhaps with the aid of a crystal ball. And maybe a cauldron.
On a heath.
Near Forres.

It has been claimed that Rod spent the night
before he left Dee Dee at Kristy's house, receiving guidance on how he should resolve his dilemma of being married to a woman he didn't love.
We doubt very much he was told to go home and work on being a good husband and father.

In 2019 Rod shared with us the impact this news had on a pregnant, newly married Dee Dee, "She (Dee Dee) was upset. She woke up and she wasn't happy. She kind of went downhill from there, you know". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
Or, we like to think, uphill.
According to Rod, "She (Dee Dee) grabbed our marriage licence that was in a frame and threw it on the ground". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
We could think of a more appropriate place Dee Dee could have thrown it.

And so Dee Dee Blanchard opened her eyes one morning and found herself ceremoniously kicked to the curb, but given all the horrible things that we have been told about her by the Gypsy train, the devil's spawn got what she deserved, right?
Rod says he left Dee Dee with the promise that, (Rod) "I would always do everything I could to take care of her and the child. To do what I can for them financially and mentally, but I just couldn’t, I just couldn’t stay”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
He also left Dee Dee with a mortgage she couldn't pay, but never mind, she deserved the sleepless nights she probably had, facing the prospect of homelessness, right?
Gypsy claims Rod and Dee Dee only ever rented or stayed with family, (Source: 'My Time To Stand'.
😴😪🥱💤🛌🏼), but we spy an image further down on this page that confirms that Rod and Dee Dee did in fact have a mortgage.

In 2024, Rod also recalls telling Dee Dee, "I'm sorry. I'll always try to be there as a father, but as a husband, I don't feel that". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
Those assurances must have been extremely comforting to Dee Dee, who would have been only too aware of everything Rod
hadn't done for her other than pretty much humiliate her and destroy her self-esteem.
And Rod's idea of 'everything' didn't turn out to mean much either.

Gypsy claims the emotional impact on Dee Dee of losing Rod was huge, "I know that the most devastating failure to her was losing my father". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
The possible realisation that her daughter's boyfriend was stabbing her to death and her daughter wouldn't respond to her cries for help, probably impacted Dee Dee harder, but there you go.
But Gypsy doesn't allow Dee Dee to be the victim for too long, swiftly owning Dee Dee's misfortune as her own, "My mother blamed me for them getting a divorce because I wasn't the son that he wanted. I'm thinking in my mind, 'How are you blaming me for something that happened before I was born'? " (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Gypsy was a little bit like her daddy.

(Excerpt below) Gypsy seems to have no issue with Rod having relationships behind Dee Dee's back.
(Source: 'My Time To Stand' and deride the sanctity of marriage). That comes as no surprise seeing as how Gypsy left her own husband/parole board address after a few months of marriage for another man.
Picture
Having abandoned his wife, pregnant with a child he wasn't willing to sacrifice his life for, 'Ahoy there' Rod runs off with a sigh of relief, a spring in his step and high hopes for his future, straight into the arms of 'best of friends' Kristy Matherne, staying temporarily at her home receiving 'support and solace' and possibly a pile of 'How to get divorced quick' books to read, before hot footing it straight back to his high school sweetheart, Jill, a 16 year old child, who would soon also find herself pregnant with Rod's child, perhaps courtesy of the information contained within the pages of, 'How to get pregnant'.
Jill, born at the end of November, 1974, was just a few months past her 16th birthday when she fell pregnant with Rod's child.
Yeah, you heard right. Jill was 16 years old.
Now that is and was beneath the legal age of consent. And that does have a name. Statutory rape.

Neither Rod nor Kristy Blanchard have ever spoken publicly about Jill.
Well, they wouldn't would they.
What was Southern media man of principle Rod Blanchard to do?
Quietly divorce and remarry?
Lay low and pray nobody reported him to the police for having sex with a minor?
Nope.
Rod did exactly the same thing to his high school sweetheart that he did to Dee Dee; He decided he had made yet another mistake and was quickly on his heels again, gracing Dee Dee with a very short-lived reunion, before heading off again, perhaps whilst Dee Dee was out purchasing a replacement photo frame.
And Rod headed off in the most obvious direction.

"Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was crowded" (Princess Diana, 1995).
In Dee Dee's case, there were four.

In the world according to Kristy Blanchard, "Gypsy was 6 months old when I started dating her dad". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
Of course she was.
A friend of Dee Dee's would later reveal, post murder, that Rod and Kristy, "Were on a break when Rod met Dee Dee."

Rod Blanchard recently stated on a social media platform, somewhat angrily, "I know what it's like to be in love with somebody else. I know what it's like to be in a marriage and it's just not there" (Source: @ivoryroseknows 7th August 2024).
Rod also knows what it's like to populate the planet with abandoned children who likely grew up with daddy issues - one of them certainly did - whilst he figured this out, but, hey, let's not make Pope Rod Blanchard look bad.

What a terrible state of affairs for Dee Dee Blanchard.
Pun intended.

As far as is known, Dee Dee didn’t engage in any new romantic relationships following her break up with Rod for the remainder of her life; 24 years.
As far is known, there weren't any boyfriends before Rod either.

As for Rod, who knows? Allegations have been made pertaining to 'swingers parties' and 'affairs'. but we're thinking they don't really count as romantic relationships.

(Excerpts below) In December, 2024, Gypsy incorrectly records Rod as being a 'minor' when he met Dee Dee. Rod was not a 'minor', he was of legal age.
Gypsy appears to excuse and justify Rod's dreadful treatment of Dee Dee as being down to Rod being a 'boy', and makes light of his extra marital affairs. She refers to the minor Rod abandoned when she was pregnant as being 'around the same age as my dad', but fails to inform that Jill was legally a child, whilst Rod was an adult.
Note Dee Dee's kind treatment of Jill when Jill visited her in a time of need. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and be honest, but that doesn't pay the rent).

One of the following statements is true -
What a horrible person, Dee Dee Blanchard was.
What a complete knob Rod Blanchard was.
Picture
Picture
Gypsy-Rose Alcida Blanchard was born on the 27th July 1991, at 11.12 am in Graceland, Louisiana.
Gypsy's medical records suggest Gypsy was born 4 weeks prematurely.
Dr Phil says Gypsy was named Gypsy Rose after the 20th century striptease artist of the same name (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019), which is a surprising claim given that Rod claims Dee Dee chose ‘Gypsy' and he added ‘Rose’, as he was a fan of the band, Guns N’ Roses.
'To hell with the truth' (didn't) cry Dr Phil. 'We're running with the vaudeville stripper theme'.

'I'll always try to be there as a father' Rod, didn't try to be there for Gypsy's birth, he was busy living it up with 'best of friends', 'not yet in a relationship', Kristy Matherne at The Grand Isle Tarpon fish rodeo.
Yeah, you heard right. Fish rodeo.
Wrap your heads around that.
Rod was also out of his head on acid, so he very probably 'wasn't there' for anyone, in fairness. (Source: The Good Wives Network).

Rod recalls that he found out about Gypsy's birth from his mother, and on hearing the news, "We left Grand Isle, came up the road, went, went see her at the hospital and everything. Did what I could for Dee Dee." (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
We can only hope Kristy didn't heap further indignity upon Dee Dee by presenting at her hospital bedside, but let's keep it real, she probably did. People have a tendency to show off their trophies.
Rod doesn't elaborate on what he 'did' for Dee Dee, but, hopefully, nothing. Lord knows, Rod Blanchard had done more than enough for Dee Dee Blanchard already.

Rod later says of Gypsy's birth, "As soon as I saw her (Gypsy), I knew my life was going to be different, forever. But I had no idea what I was about to take on". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
What he was about to take on? What about abandoned single parent, Dee Dee Blanchard?
In 2018, Rod gushed, "I was excited and very scared. I'm not gonna lie, I was very scared. I'm 18 years old and I got, I got a baby here". (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2018).
And let's not forget, another baby on the way.

Rod would later attest to Gypsy being born perfectly healthy, although prematurely and, "A little small". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Also 'small' was the size of Gypsy's head, which in medical terms is known as, 'microcephaly', or, in layman's terms, 'a smaller than normal head'; a sign of things to come.
Dee Dee's sister, Claudia, says, "I nicknamed her (Gypsy) possum because she looked like a possum. Little, bitty possum eyes". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018); another sign of things to come.

Rod blames work and a shortage of money for his largely absent role in Gypsy's early life, (Rod) "After Gypsy was born I was gone a lot working, so there wasn't much room for anybody else". (Gypsy's revenge, 2018).
We're guessing 'much room for anybody else' didn't include Kristy Matherne or the thrills of the Grand Isle Tarpon fish rodeo.
Rod's absence must explain why there isn't a single online photo of him with baby Gypsy anywhere to be found.
The hundreds of photos Rod and Kristy like to surround themselves with during their filmed roles, as if taken by themselves, the 'doting parents of Gypsy', overwhelmingly contain photos from Dee Dee's personal photo collection, which Rod and Kristy removed from Dee Dee's house following her death which, for some incomprehensible reason, they felt entitled to enter and 'clean' shortly after her corpse was removed.
Arguably Dee Dee's photos are used by Rod and Kristy to imply a physical presence in Gypsy's life they never actually had.
Gypsy appears to be around 5 years old in the earliest online photo of her with Rod.
Rod sure was away working a lot. On a shrimp boat. Not overseas taking part in Operation Desert Storm.

According to Blanchard spokesperson, Kristy, "He (Rod) was 18 at the time. Came from a broken home, you know. And this child is coming into the world in a broken home. But doesn't mean you're not gonna love that baby with every fibre of your being. He tried to be there as much as he could. It's just she (Dee Dee) didn't allow him". (Would You Kill My Mother For Me?, 2022).
That's rich coming from the woman who played a role in creating the broken home. Who's to say Rod's marriage to Dee Dee wouldn't have worked had Kristy not made herself so present and available in it?
It's also a bit different from what, 'I was gone a lot working, so there wasn't much room for anybody else' Rod says, but, hey, if it makes Dee Dee look bad, so be it; Blame the mother who was always there for her child for the absence of the father who never was.
And Rod created two broken homes, not one. Jill's daughter, Nicolette, was born on December 11th, 1991, just over 5 months after Gypsy's birth.
And less than a month after Jill's 17th birthday.
Yeah you heard right, Dr. Phil. Jill was 17.

There's not a shred of evidence to substantiate Dee Dee didn't allow Rod to be a father to Gypsy. Conversely, there's evidence a'plenty to suggest it wasn't a role Rod seemed that much interested in.
We're going to side with the author of the 2015 Facebook post seen on the right.
"Your man don't sound like he a good daddy to Gypsy or the other girl (Nicolette). Miss Dee Dee said that was because you (Kristy) wouldn't let him".(June 2015).

As for Nicolette, Rod Blanchard's second casualty of whatever game he was playing with Kristy, Rod had little, if any, contact with his second daughter, eventually handing over all his parental rights to Nicolette in 1993. The myth goes that he did this to allow Jill's 'husband' to adopt Nicolette.
Funny that.
Jill didn't marry Nicolette's adoptive father until 2002.
Child support payments, if they were paid, would have stopped once Nicolette was adopted, which, coincidentally, just happened to coincide with when he was in a relationship with Kristy.
Just another observation.

In a 2016 news article which Both Rod and Kristy Blanchard were interviewed for, it is stated that after having Gypsy, "Rod eventually remarried and had two other children." (Michelle Dean, Buzz Feed News, August 19th, 2016).
No mention was made in the report as to the existence of Rod's second child, Nicolette.
Easy come. Easy go.
It also wasn't mentioned that Kristy already had one of those 'two other children' way before she married Rod.

Letters Rod penned to Kristy whilst at high school - seen below - were shared courtesy of The Good Wives' Network
Kristy Blanchard can continue spouting the story that her and Rod were only ever just 'the best of friends' prior to him meeting Dee Dee all she wants, but the pen doesn't lie.
These letters reveal that Kristy Blanchard must have been acutely aware of Rod's feelings towards her, unless we're misreading the meaning behind smooth operator Rod's line, 'I've begun to become attached to you'.
Maybe we're also misreading Rod's intentions;  I want to cheat on my girlfriend, Christy, with you, but, no promises, I just want to see how it goes. Kinda like a test run. Shhh. Don't tell anyone.

The letters also expose that T-Rod Ralf Blanchard, the 'paragon of virtue', was facing the possibility of doing time in a juvenile detention centre.
Would the Gypsy train like to comment on what charges T-Rod Ralf Blanchard was facing?

Crime scene photos taken at Dee Dee's house following the discovery of her body, show one that was taken of a picture hanging on her bedroom wall containing a collage of family photos.
Included in the collage is a photo of her and Rod taken together on their wedding day.

What a forgiving person Dee Dee Blanchard was.

"I think she (Dee Dee) asked for what she got" (Rod Blanchard, 2018).
