Our website is updated on a daily basis. We're regularly working on new leads as well as deep diving information we already have, so information may change as more truths are uncovered. We've only scratched the surface of this case, there's still so much more to discover.

Excerpts from Gypsy Rose Blanchard's 2024, 'memoir', 'My Time To Stand', are  interspersed throughout the website, to illustrate and reinforce that a false narrative continues to be promoted.

"Gypsy is not biologically my daughter, but she's mine, you know, in every sense of the way" (Kristy Blanchard, 2024)

Gypsy tells us that following the murder, "We took a greyhound bus back to Wisconsin. My mind wasn't thinking back to what was at my house. I just kept thinking, "I'm free. I'm free. And that excitement of being free and walking". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
What was 'back at the house' was Dee Dee's dead body, slowly decomposing in a temperature purposely set by Gypsy to delay decomposition, and the over riding sense of 'excitement' Gypsy felt, must have wiped from her memory the 2 days she and Nick spent in Springfield before boarding the bus to Nick's home in Wisconsin.

On Wednesday 10th June 2015, Nick remembers leaving Dee Dee's house just as the sun was beginning to rise and taking a yellow taxi cab back to the Days Inn Motel at 3114 N, Kentwood Avenue, Springfield with Gypsy.
The taxi driver, John Harmon, did not notice anything out of the ordinary about his two customers, who he dropped off at the hotel around 5.55am, but he did note that Nick was wearing jeans and a white t-shirt.
We cannot find any evidence to support Mr. Harmon's testimony as to what Nick was wearing.
Crime scene photos do reveal a container of men's Irish Spring body wash on the side of the bath at Dee Dee's house, which does seem out of place in Dee Dee's house of 'all things Disney'.
Maybe Nick did bathe and change his clothes.
Gypsy and Nick remained in the house for around 3 and a half hours post murder.
That seems rather a long time to clean up and engage in a round of rough sex.

With money now no object, Nick and Gypsy booked in early, and paid for one night's stay, checking in to room 227.
In his 2015 police interview, Nick reveals that once they got to the room they, "Relaxed and cuddled on the bed" and spoke about their future together, and about having a family.
Nick says they then had sex, but, again, Nick claims he did not ejaculate.

Nick says that around 8am, they visited a waffle house located next to the Days Inn Motel where Nick says he ate a steak and cheese omelette, with raisin toast and hash browns. Detective Stan Hancock's supplemental report made on the 29th June, 2015, records that, "Gypsy said she drank some milk and forgot she was allergic to milk".
Said nobody with a milk allergy, ever.

Gypsy says she then felt unwell, so they returned to the motel where they slept for 5 hours.

Police records reveal that on Thursday 11th June 2015 at 10.24am, Nick and Gypsy visited the local post office to mail the knife and gloves used during Dee Dee's murder, to Nick's home address.
Nick admits in his 2015 police interview that they both agreed to do this, but adds that Gypsy, "Had that all set up" and had the written out the bubble envelope in which the knife and gloves were to be posted in advance.

In 2018, Gypsy explains the thinking behind posting the murder weapon, "I left the motel with him (Nick), and we went to the bus stop. He wanted me to first carry the knife with me onto the greyhound bus, but I assumed they had metal detectors so I suggested, 'Let's mail the knife'. I thought it was the safest option." (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Mailing the murder weapon to the home address of one the actual murderers was the safest option? Not for Nick it wasn't.
Nick and Gypsy went to the post office at 10.24am.
They don't go to the bus station until around 1pm.
How can Gypsy claim she made the decision to post the knife and gloves at 1pm, the time she went to the 'bus stop', when she had already posted them at 10.24am?

Once the murder weapon is in the mail, Nick and Gypsy return to the motel, checking out at 11.58am. They then make a trip to Walmart where Gypsy says Nick purchased a soda, condoms and a lip balm.
Gypsy says she waited outside the store with the luggage, but offers no explanation as to why she didn't go in the store.

Nick says he purchased a 2ltr bottle of 7 up, condoms and a lip balm. Nick claims Gypsy waited outside because she knew people at the store and didn't want to be recognised.
Nick and Gypsy then take a yellow taxi cab from Walmart to the Greyhound bus station.
Nick already had a ticket to travel back to Wisconsin that day at 6.13pm. They had hoped to buy a ticket for Gypsy on the same bus, but discovered there were no seats available.
At 12.53pm, a ticket is purchased for Gypsy to travel to Wisconsin the following day, and Nick's ticket is changed to travel on the same bus as Gypsy.
Gypsy's ticket is purchased using the name, 'Bella Godejohn'.
Nick says he used this name because he wanted people to think Gypsy was his sister.

'Bella' also happened to be one of Gypsy's alter egos.
Nick and Gypsy then take a yellow taxi cab back to The Days Inn Motel.

The driver of the yellow taxi cab, Janice Buttram recalls, "She (Gypsy) was in a very dark black hoodie, but she had a very odd-looking wig on. It was an old looking 'Cher' wig. The girl looked 12, sounded 5, and had a 40 year old attitude because she was not afraid to tell me off. I just knew there was something wrong." (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2018).
In a 2023 news report, Janice Buttram says when she asked Gypsy what her name was, Gypsy responded, "Gypsy, what's yours?" She also reports that Gypsy corrected her on a wrong turn she took. (Ozarksfirst.com, 28th December, 2023).
Janice Buttram further stated that Nick and Gypsy told her they were brother and sister. She claimed, "She (Gypsy) not only walked, she ran. She had the answers. She had the cash. She had the plan". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
When Janice Buttram first spoke about her infamous passengers in 2015, she said that Gypsy claimed to be 14 years old.(Source: Springfield News-Leader).

Even with Dee Dee gone, Gypsy was still lying about her age.

At 13.23pm, Nick and Gypsy check back in to The Days Inn Motel for another night, and are this time allocated room 226.
We have little information as to what may have taken place from the time Nick and Gypsy entered room 226 on Thursday 11th June 2015 at 13.23pm, to when they checked out the following morning at 6.23am.
Gypsy had previously told Nick about her plans to meet up with, and have sex with Dan Glidewell, on the Thursday before they left Springfield, informing Nick on Saturday 6th June, 2015, (5.47pm) Gypsy - 'He agreed to meet up, we are gonna get coffee at this cupcake place Thursday so that will close that' (5.48pm).
Did Gypsy meet up with Dan on Thursday?
Not according to the owner of the cupcake shop.
Not at the cupcake shop at least.
What we do know took place on Thursday 11th June 2015, is that Nick ordered a pizza from Papa John's, which brings us to the infamous brownie video, in which Gypsy records a naked Nick, sitting up in bed in their motel room eating a brownie, part of their Papa John's order.

"Hi honey", giggles Gypsy. "I'm filming".
Gypsy laughing loudly, "He's eating a brownie".
"Mmmm", answers Nick, smiling.
Gypsy responds, "But later he will be eating me".
Gypsy is then heard laughing loudly, almost hysterically.
You can see this video below.
If you listen very carefully at the start of the video, you can just make out Nick calling Gypsy a "murderer".
This folks, is Gypsy Rose Blanchard, in all her glory, filmed l
ess than 24 hours after her mother was murdered.

There is some speculation that perhaps Gypsy made the brownies at her house following Dee Dee's murder, as blood can clearly be seen dripping down a bag of flour placed on a kitchen work top.
An unopened bag of flour.
The brownies were actually served courtesy of Papa John's, along with a pizza the hungry duo ordered in.

In 2017, Dr. Phil played the video to Gypsy who explains/blames/excuses her behaviour by saying, "I wasn't myself. I had been taking narcotics such as Xanax and Vicodin. I was high. Very high." (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
In an earlier interview Gypsy reported to being high on Xanax, now it's Xanax and Vicodin.
In 2018, Gypsy again explains/blames/excuses her behaviour by way of her non substantiated drug addiction,
"I used pills to drown out all of my remorse and cares and fears". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Though not enough to drown out her foresight to sprinkle baby powder around Dee Dee's bedroom to mask the putrid smell of her mother's rotting flesh.
At the beginning of 2018, Nick reported, "When me and her (Gypsy) were in the hotel room .. she kept on telling me, 'Stop crying, stop crying. There's no reason, reason to cry. It was my idea, it wasn't yours' ".
Nick said that Gypsy, "Comforted me about it".
(ABC News Report, January 4th 2018).
We bet that didn't end well.

On Friday 12th June 2015 at 6.23am. Nick and Gypsy check out of the Days Inn Motel.
They take a yellow taxi cab to the same Walmart as the day before, but we are not given any information as to what, if anything, they purchased.

A yellow taxi cab picks Nick and Gypsy up at Walmart, and takes them to the Greyhound bus station.
At 7.33am, Nick and Gypsy board the greyhound bus to travel to Nick's home in Wisconsin, which departs at 7.35am.

Surveillance footage of Gypsy and Nick in the days following Dee Dee's murder can be seen here

WARNING The content on this page contains some graphic images and descriptions of extreme violence which some adults may find distressing. This material is not suitable for children and reader discretion is strongly advised.

In the early hours of Saturday 13th June 2015, Nick and Gypsy arrive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Nick's mum, Stephanie Goldammer, picked Nick and Gypsy up at around 2am from the bus station, and drove them back to her house in Big Bend, Wisconsin.

In his 2015 police interview, Charles ('Charlie') Goldammer, Nick's step father, says he had texted Nick every day that he had been away as Stephanie had been worried about him.

Charlie reported that Gypsy told Stephanie that she had been evicted from her home and had been staying at a homeless shelter.

In her police interview, Stephanie says the first thing she had asked Gypsy when she saw her was how her mum was doing. Gypsy had responded, "Oh, we just don't see eye to eye". (Police Interview 16th June 2015).
Stephanie reported that Gypsy told her, "Oh mam, I'm a'good, I'm a'clean, I'll get a job". (Police Interview, 16th June 2015).
Stephanie said she had thought Gypsy would be staying for about a week, but didn't want her staying any longer than that.

Stephanie recalled that she had previously spoken to Nick and Gypsy a couple of months before they arrived in Wisconsin after a friend of hers had called her and said she had seen a Facebook post Gypsy had made about how she and Nick were trying for a baby. Stephanie said she thought after that, "She (Gypsy) is not okay. Something's not right there". (Police Interview, 16th June 2015).
After Stephanie spoke to Nick about the post, he had agreed to hold off on the baby plans, which can account for Nick's purchase of condoms at Walmart.
Stephanie had thought of Gypsy as, "This beast", before she had even met her. (Police Interview, 16th June 2015).

Charlie says he spoke to Gypsy when she had been in the kitchen of their home where she was making a packet of macaroni and cheese, which he said she was making, "Weird". (Police Interview, 16th June 2015).
Gypsy told Charlie that was how her mum made it, and he said he had shown her how to make it the correctly.
Gypsy refers to this incident with humour, "We (Nick and Gypsy) go to a gas station. We walk about a mile to the gas station and I steal a box of macaroni and cheese. So we get back to this house (Nick's house) and I'm expected to cook for him. Right. Okay. (Laughing) I don't know how to cook" (The Prison Confessions, 2024).

Gypsy had almost $5,000 to spend, yet having achieved the freedom she claims to have wanted so very badly, she was willing to jeopardise it by stealing a packet of macaroni and cheese.
Those aren't the actions of a medicated, numbed victim of abuse.
Those are the actions of a narcissistic sociopath.
In 2017, Gypsy was asked, "How did you think this would turn out?" Gypsy replied, "I thought that they would put out a missing report for me and that people would just give up". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
In 2018, Gypsy was asked, "Were you afraid of getting caught?" Gypsy replied, "That just never crossed my mind. I honestly didn't think we were gonna get caught". (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2018).
In his 2015 police interview, Nick admits that he was quite certain he and Gypsy would be apprehended.

Charlie reported in his police interview, that Nick and Gypsy had been, "Going at it like rabbits" and that Gypsy had been "Loud". (Police Interview 16th June 2015).
He said he had had to tell Nick to at least wait until he had gone to work so he didn't have to hear them.

Charlie also remembered a package arriving for Nick on Saturday June 13th 2015 (The knife and gloves posted from Springfield) which he said he had retrieved from the mailbox and left on a table.
Charlie claimed that when he told Nick about the package, Gypsy had said, "I'll take that", (Police Interview 16th June 2015) and had taken the package upstairs.

Stephanie Goldammer's 2015 police interview can be viewed below.
The police also interviewed David Blanchard and Dan Glidewell.

On Sunday 14th June 2015 at 1.43am, Gypsy changed her profile picture on her and Nick's Facebook account, 'Nicholas Bella Rose', to a cute pair of puppies.
On the same day, either Nick, or, more likely, Gypsy, also took time out from the horrific events of the past few days, to like a Facebook image posted on the page of Nick's friend friend, 'Sis'. (See images below).
It's good to know what the priorities and levels of remorse were on that day.

On Sunday 14th June 2015, at approximately 2.32pm, a public post appeared on Gypsy and Dee Dee's shared Facebook page, '
Dee Gyp Blancharde', which read. 'That Bitch is dead!'
At 3.49pm, a comment posted in response to the 2.32pm post was made by 'Dee Gyp Blancharde', stating, 'I fucken SLASHED THAT FAT PIG AND RAPED HER SWEET INNOCENT DAUGHTER… HER SCREAM WAS SOOO FUCKEN LOUD LOL'.

A police report reveals, "Approximately half an hour after the initial post, another post was made on Dee Dee's Facebook page saying, 'The Girl is Dead too ...' but this post was only made available to friends of Dee Dee Gyp Blancharde.
The second post, made at 4.11pm, isn't widely reported, because at some point between when Gypsy posted it and when she was arrested, she deleted the post.

Gypsy claims, "Me and Nick made that post on her (Dee Dee) Facebook account" (Mother Knows Best, 2017), explaining her motive as,  "I wanted my mother found because I felt remorse, and I couldn't stand the thought of her just being there". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Maybe Gypsy had run out of her 'anti-remorse' medication.
Gypsy continued, "But I needed something alarming, that would alarm her friends to call the police". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Gypsy further advised, "I do regret making that statement. Not because it got me found and arrested, but because that was so wrong. It's not right". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
We'll run with the first part of that statement being the truth.

In Gypsy's 2015 police interview, Gypsy blamed Nick for the Facebook posts; When Detective Hancock asked Gypsy what the first post said, she answered, “What he (Nick) had said to me, he was happy about it .. (Whispering) ‘That bitch is dead’.
Gypsy admitted she had wanted the initial post posted, but added, “I would never call my mum that”. (Gypsy's Police Interview, 2015).
Gypsy claimed Nick was aware of the post, “He knew about it, and I asked him if I could have permission. Please, I need them to find my mum so she could have a proper burial, and I knew it would get people’s attention because we don’t have our cars, and like the first people were like, 'Oh they must be watching a movie', and like, no, no, no this is serious. Please someone help. Please”. (Gypsy's Police Interview, 2015).

And if you believe Gypsy's explanation for the posts, you'll likely believe anything.
What Gypsy wanted was attention. But whose?

When Detective Hancock questioned Gypsy about the response to the first post -  'I fucken SLASHED THAT FAT PIG AND RAPED HER SWEET INNOCENT DAUGHTER… HER SCREAM WAS SOOO FUCKEN LOUD LOL' - Gypsy was able to quote it verbatim. According to Gypsy, Nick made her post the response, as well as the second post - ‘The girl is dead too’ - as Gypsy claimed Nick thought it would stop people looking for her.
When Nick was questioned in his police interview as to who made the Facebook posts, he responded, “I didn’t even know the password so she’s (Gypsy) the only one that knows it, only she could post it”. (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
When Nick was asked if he knew what the initial post said, he responded, “I read it, but I don’t know what it said”. (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
Nick said of the initial post, “It was kind of surprising. She (Gypsy) showed me it just after she posted it. What the heck?” (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
Nick believed the posts were made to, "Speed up the process to get the authorities involved”. (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).

When Gypsy was asked at Nick's 2018 trial, who made the Facebook posts, Gypsy answered, "I did".
Gypsy was then asked, "Did you make that post pretending to be someone else?".
Gypsy responded, "Yes".
When Gypsy was asked who she was pretending to be, Gypsy said, "Nick". (Nick's trial, 2018).

If, as Gypsy claims, her reasoning behind the Facebook posts was to have Dee Dee found, then she hit the bullseye with the comment -  (3.49pm) 'I fucken SLASHED THAT FAT PIG AND RAPED HER SWEET INNOCENT DAUGHTER… HER SCREAM WAS SOOO FUCKEN LOUD LOL'
Responses included -
(3.58pm) 'Should someone notify the police? This sounds scary'.
(4pm) 'Yes. I think someone should report this'.
(4.02pm) 'I'll call now .. does anyone know address pm me please .. we are their friends in Louisiana'.
(4.02pm) 'We live down the road from them. We are heading there now'.
(4.02pm) 'Kimberly please call police too to meet you there .. please update'.
(4.03pm) 'Kim have your gun at the ready just in case'.
(4.04pm) 'Promise'.
So why the 4.11pm comment, 'The Girl is Dead too ...'?
People
were already worried by 4.11pm. They were actively taking action. Jeez, they were taking up arms.
The most popular theory is that it was used by Gypsy to deter the police from looking for her.
But Gypsy was with Nick. Tracing Nick would ultimately trace Gypsy, unless of course, Gypsy was no longer with Nick when the police arrived.

Here's what we think.
The cinema episode aside, Nick and Gypsy had been online dating for almost 3 years before they spent any prolonged physical time together, and that didn't happen until after Dee Dee had been killed.
Even if Gypsy did start off with romantic intentions towards Nick, her later message exchanges with him reveal their incompatibility -
Sunday 31st May, 2015 (1.33am) Gypsy - 'Looking at your movie likes and music we couldn’t be more opposite  (1.34am) Gypsy - Goodness this is awkward… well ll expand my interests'
Monday 1st June, 2015 (2.38am) Gypsy - 'I didn’t mean it when I called a life with u trash'
Tuesday 2nd June, 2015 (2.21am) Gypsy - 'All u do is make me cry' (2.22am) Gypsy - 'I give everything for u'  (2.22am) Nick - 'I was trying to be nice while explaining myself then you say that .. Dear that was uncalled for ..'
(2.22am) Nick - 'Explaining*' (2.24am) Gypsy - 'I always put my best' (2.24am) Gypsy - And u say 90% .. bullshit (2.24am) Nick - Baby I don’t only make you cry I have given you plenty of happy Memories. (2.25am) Gypsy - 'Who puts up with your overbearing ways your ridiculous political shit' (2.25am) Nick - 'Dear I’m not trying to argue with you so please stop'. (2.26am) Gypsy - 'I was in a romantic mood now you screwed that to hell'
Saturday 6th June, 2015 (2.57pm) Gypsy - 'Hunny I was wondering, say I wanted to have sex with a guy before leaving town.could I?'
We now know that Gypsy likely continued to pursue Dan Glidewell, toothbrush at the ready, throughout her relationship with Nick.
When Gypsy made that second post, she had been in Nick's company for 4 days, and we think that was long enough for Gypsy to work out what she already likely knew, Nick wasn't the 'one'.
So out came Gypsy's 'I need rescuing' card, again.
Because that's the card Gypsy plays, even to this day.
"I am a victim".
A lot of people from the VisionCon community, including friends of Dan, were Facebook friends with '
Dee Gyp Blancharde'.
What better way to indirectly gain Dan Glidewell's attention and for him to check up on her well being?

Dr Marc Feldman says of the posts, "Startingly with Gypsy, who went online, to announce, you know, 'That bitch is dead' and to go even further and describe a scenario where she is raped is just perverse. It implies a fair degree of sociopathy." (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
So here we have Dr Marc Feldman, who has consistently presented Gypsy as a 'victim' and a 'hostage', now suggesting that Gypsy's behaviour implies she is a sociopath.
Signs of sociopathy include - manipulation, moral blindness, emotional detachment, impulsive behaviour, dishonesty, heartlessness, superiority complex, criminality, recklessness and danger seeking.
Does that description not fit Gypsy Rose Blanchard?

On Sunday 14th June 2015, Dee Dee's 'friend', Kimberly Blanchard, sees the Facebook post and tries to contact Dee Dee on her mobile phone, but receives no answer to her calls or any response to voice messages she leaves.
Growing increasingly concerned for Dee Dee and Gypsy's safety, Kimberly and her husband, David, the organiser of VisionCon, then drive over to Dee Dee's house, leaving at around 4.02pm, noticing on arrival Dee Dee's 2011 Nissan Cube parked outside of the residence.
Two neighbours were already present at the house when David and Kim Blanchard arrived; Amy Pinegar, Aleah Woodmansee's mother and friend of Dee Dee's, and Tamara Rose.

(Kimberly Blanchard) “I knocked on the windows and we shouted their names”. (Gypsy’s Revenge, 2018).
Receiving no response, Kimberly Blanchard decides to call the police to request a wellness check, reporting that neither Dee Dee nor Gypsy had been seen for a couple of days.
The police arrive at the property at 15.17pm and check for signs of a break in.

Kimberley and David Blanchard advise the police about the Facebook post, and offer some background information on Dee Dee and Gypsy who they report as both being wheelchair bound.
It is noted in Stan Hancock's police report that Gypsy was described as being, "Very ill with a degenerative genetic disorder, unknown which type, and some sort of cancer, unknown what type". (Stan Hancock, Supplemental Report, 3rd September, 2015).

Deputy K. Hughes reported, "None of them (the neighbours at the scene) thought that the Blanchardes had any relatives still living". (K Hughes, Supplemental Report, 14th June, 2015).
Oh, but they were, just not bothering to visit their 'cancer-stricken', 'wheelchair bound' relative who wasn't expected to live very long.

Police supplemental reports show that two of the deputies surveyed Dee Dee's house for signs of a break in -

(Deputy M Robertson) “Upon arrival of myself, Deputy K Hughes, and Cpl. R Stewart, and later Deputy T. Haynes, Deputy Hughes spoke to neighbors and friends, while Cpl. Stewart and myself checked the doors and windows of the residence for any indications of force entry or foul play. Nothing was found as a result”. (M.Robertson, Supplemental Report, 14th June 2015).
(Deputy R Stewart) “All of the doors and windows I checked did not show any signs of being tampered with”. (R Stewart, Supplemental Report, 15th June 2015).
As there were no signs of a break-in at Dee Dee's house, the police were not legally allowed to force entry into the property.

David Blanchard reports, "We realised that the kitchen window was actually unlocked". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).

David Blanchard claims he then asked an officer if he could enter the house through the window and says he was told, "That would be okay". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Deputy Robertson's supplemental report disputes this, "He (David Blanchard) went inside despite warnings not to". (M Robertson, Supplemental Report, 14th June 2015).
Deputy Robertson recorded David's name as, Charles.
Deputy Stewart recorded David's name as Charles.
Deputy R Stewart, who says he also advised David Blanchard not to enter the property, records, “I observed that Charles was already going through the window”.
It was later stated in a Springfield News-Leader report, that, "Deputies on scene had given him (David Blanchard) quasi-permission to enter the home". (Springfield News-Leader, Harrison Keegan).
Not according to two police reports they didn't.

Just to get this straight in our heads.
Two deputies, neither of whom on immediate inspection of Dee Dee's house had found any signs of forced entry, or a suspicion of foul play, allowed a man, who they later discovered had given them a false name, to enter a potential crime scene through an 'unlocked window' they hadn't found.
A window David Blanchard very likely didn't enter because he couldn't physically fit through it, but one which a deputy claims to have seen him go through?
A house they had a lawful right to enter themselves given the Facebook posts -
Exception to needing a search warrant to enter a home -
Imminent danger: If the police believe someone inside a home is in danger or being harmed, they may enter to prevent injury or death.
'That Bitch is dead!'
'I fucken SLASHED THAT FAT PIG AND RAPED HER SWEET INNOCENT DAUGHTER… HER SCREAM WAS SOOO FUCKEN LOUD LOL'.
'The Girl is Dead too ...'
'Very ill with a
degenerative genetic disorder, unknown which type, and some sort of cancer, unknown what type'.
Both reported as having, 'several health issues requiring them both to be wheelchair bound'.
Their only known vehicle parked in driveway.
Not seen for a few days.

Make sense of that.
It has been hotly debated whether or not David Blanchard, a well built, overweight man, could actually have fitted through Dee Dee's small kitchen window.
A small window with separate, lower and upper opening sections.
A window leading on to a window sill which showed no signs of disturbance after David Blanchard's alleged entrance.
We advise that you look at photos of David Blanchard taken around the time he claims to have slipped nymph-like through Dee Dee's kitchen window, alongside photos of the kitchen window itself, both inside and out, and draw your own conclusions as to how David Blanchard entered Dee Dee's property.
Or should we say Charles Blanchard?
In our opinion, it was not through the kitchen window, it was through the kitchen door. Using a key.
When the police did eventually obtain a search warrant and enter Dee Dee's, they did so using a key they had 'obtained' from 'someone'.

Evidence to substantiate David Blanchard's entrance through the kitchen window has been offered by way of a crime scene photo, taken the following day after Dee Dee's body had been discovered, which showed the screen removed from the kitchen window and located nearby.
However, a crime scene photo taken much earlier after Dee Dee's body was discovered does not show the screen.
Also, whilst a police supplemental report states that an officer eventually gained access to Dee Dee's house via the kitchen door, two other police supplemental reports state that windows and doors had been checked for signs of a forced entry, foul play or being tampered with, with no signs being found, before David/Charles Blanchard miraculously slithered his way into an obvious potential, untapped crime scene.

So what exactly was Dee Dee and Gypsy's relationship with David and Kimberly Blanchard at the time of Dee Dee's death?
Frankly, we don't really know, but in David Blanchard's case, we view it not as he would have us believe.
Kimberly Blanchard reports that she, "Had met Dee Dee and Gypsy in 2009 at a science fiction and fantasy convention". (Michelle Dean, Buzz Feed News, August 19th, 2016).
That'll be one of their place of employment, VisionCon.

That'll be the 2009 VisionCon where Gypsy was discovered cavorting half-naked with a man in his hotel room.
But of course they didn't know she could walk.
And of course they both believed Gypsy thundered her way towards 'running away' with Dan Glidewell in her wheelchair.

In a 2018 News Report, Kimberly Blanchard claims she became really concerned for Dee Dee and Gypsy's safety after she learnt that Gypsy's wheelchairs were found inside the house,
“Now [that] is about when I panicked. We had never, ever, ever seen Gypsy not in a wheelchair.” (ABC News Report, January 4th, 2018).
Whilst it may hold true that David and Kimberly Blanchard had 'never, ever, ever seen Gypsy not in a wheelchair', evidence suggests, they both knew she could walk.
It was David Blanchard himself who reported to a sheriff's deputy on scene at Dee Dee's house, Gypsy's attempt to 'run away' with Dan in 2011, so it's safe to assume that from May 2011, David Blanchard knew 'running away' must have entailed a set of working legs.

Now may be a good time to learn a bit more about David Blanchard before reading on, especially in relation to his links to BDSM, a world embraced by one, Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

On entering Dee Dee's house, David Blanchard stated, "First thing I noticed when I got inside, other than it being dark - (He said the lights in the house weren't working) - is that it was extremely cold. It's like the air conditioner had been on full blast and just constantly running". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
He claimed he checked inside the house for any signs of people or a break-in, but didn't see either.
In 2018, he said he had noticed two wheelchairs in the living room, and Gypsy's electric wheelchair in the bathroom.
He said he had checked Gypsy's bedroom and saw nothing amiss.
David Blanchard also reported to having checked Dee Dee's bedroom, stating that, "Dee Dee's bed was unmade. There's a lot of blankets on it, but nothing looks out of sorts". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).

After a couple of minutes of looking through the house, David Blanchard exited the property through the front door, which was then secured shut by the police.
Having exited Dee Dee's house, Kimberley and David Blanchard then returned home, leaving the matter in the hands of the police. When Dee Dee's body was later found, Kimberley Blanchard immediately set up a GoFundMe Page for Dee Dee's funeral expenses and attended a 'Remembering Dee Dee' vigil with David, which David hadn't organised but seemed to take charge of.

David Blanchard accessed Dee Dee's house at 4.50pm.
It was broad daylight on a warm, sunny June day, and the sun wouldn't set for at least another 3 hours.
How was there not light enough inside Dee Dee's bedroom to see a bloodied corpse partly covered by a blood-stained sheet lying on the bed?
There was a white, cotton looking sheet that appeared to be covering a window directly adjacent to Dee Dee's bed, but there's no window there.
Just a wall.
It has been suggested that Dee Dee would use the sheet as a background to play home movies on a projector.
The actual window in Dee Dee's bedroom had less than a fifth of the window covered by a tint film. There was a half raised venetian blind against the tint film, and a pair of very slightly opened, sheer curtains across the window. You can actually see the daylight outside pouring into the room through the window in a crime scene photo.

The window would, not should, would, have provided light enough to make everything inside the room sufficiently visible.
Why did David Blanchard say he didn't see what could have easily been seen; Dee Dee?

One of two police officers who first found Dee Dee's body at just after midnight on 15th June, 2015 recorded in his supplemental report, "As I entered the bedroom, I observed a light that was on in the closet in the northwest corner of the residence. This illuminated the bedroom just enough that I was able to see a person laying in the bed." (Detective Staeger, 29th April 2016).

How was Dee Dee's body visible at around midnight but not at 4.50 in the afternoon?
In crime scene photos, the lights in Dee Dee's bedroom appear to be working just fine, but David Blanchard alleges they were broken.
Preliminary hearing court documents, dated  24th July 2015, reveal, "There was a light on in the clothes closet ... And then along the bed itself, the back of the headboard, there were some very small LED style lights that were illuminated". (Source: Hello Starlight Live).
That'll be the not so small set of Dr Who LED lights strung across Dee Dee's headboard.
3 separate sources of light.
But still David Blanchard didn't see Dee Dee.
But he did see an unlocked window?

We have looked at the crime scene photos, and have included a few to follow.
How did David Blanchard not see Dee Dee?
That is a question David Blanchard asked himself following the discovery of Dee Dee's body a few hours later, "I was floored. I didn't understand. I was in that house, how could I have missed something like that". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
We are floored too.
We are also floored by the amount of times David Blanchard has changed his story -
He went in the house before the police arrived.
He went in the house after the police arrived.
He was in the house a couple of minutes.
He was in the house for 5 minutes. (5 minutes is a helluva long time to sweep through a small single storey house devoid of people).
He saw 3 wheelchairs.
He saw 4 wheelchairs.

David Blanchard reported to Deputy Catherine Hughes, who was on scene at the property, that he didn't check the bedrooms because "The bedroom doors were closed". (Source: The Good Wives' Network 2020).
There was no door leading into Dee Dee's bedroom; it had been removed for reasons unknown.
He also later claimed it took detectives two searches to find Dee Dee's body.
It didn't.
It took one search.

It's clear from the crime scene photos, that Dee Dee's body would have been clearly visible to anybody even just glancing into that room at that time; to everyone except super observant Charles Blanchard.
Dee Dee's body had been decomposing for 4 and a half days when David Blanchard entered her home. Even accounting for the air conditioning, the smell throughout the house would have been stomach churning.

A Springfield News-Leader report claimed, "David says he knows why he didn't find the body, but that is information he cannot disclose at this time because of the ongoing investigation". (Springfield News-Leader, Harrison Keegan).
The news report continued, "What he (David Blanchard) did point to was a response (Deputy Jim) Arnott gave on Monday when asked why the neighbour who entered the house didn't find the body. (Deputy Jim) Arnott replied that there is a reason why the neighbour didn't find the body and added "I don't feel that there is anything suspicious related to the neighbour coming in and checking." (Springfield News-Leader, Harrison Keegan).
It has the word suspicious written all over it.
David Blanchard got angry when people voiced their suspicions, inviting them to 'cast your stones'.
Thanks for the invite, Charles.
Here's our stone.
Charles Blanchard entered Dee Dee's house using the key he had to her kitchen door, and left after seeing Dee Dee's body.

David Blanchard also claims he has no familial link to Gypsy.
David Blanchard's grandfather was born in Louisiana.
He is buried in Louisiana as are two of his 3 sons.
In 2011, David Blanchard's brother, and very likely David himself, was invited to a family gathering in Louisiana.
In an area of Louisiana Rod Blanchard's family originate from.
Given the strong likelihood that David Blanchard
did discover Dee Dee's body and was asked to remain quiet, why did he then make a post on his Facebook profile, a day later, appealing for help in locating Dee Dee and Gypsy, knowing what he knew?
And how, in God's name, did David Blanchard manage to get up and go to work the day after discovering his 'good friend' Dee Dee's body?
We appreciate everybody reacts to things differently, but the crime scene photos left us traumatised for days and we didn't even know Dee Dee.
So many questions.
So many FOIA requests denied.

Newly released court documents (2025) show testimony given by Sergeant Jim Stanley, one of the first officers to officially enter Dee Dee's house.
On the subject of the windows at the property, Jim Stanley stated that, although he didn't personally try and look through the windows from the outside, "You could not see in the windows" (?), before reporting that some of the windows had coverings on them and others had "sheets and different items over them". (Source: Hello Starlight Live).
Like 6" of tint, a venetian blind and a pair of sheer curtains?
It wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest that Gypsy herself ensured that any remaining visibility into the house that night was blocked.
You know, Gypsy, the murderer who googled how to delay the decomposition of a corpse.

The date and time of police entry into Dee Dee's house is recorded in a police supplemental report as Monday June 15th, 2015 at 00.18.
Detective M. Staeger was assigned the role of Crime Scene Supervisor, and entered the property with a Sergeant Jim Stanley.
A call news photographer, who remained present at the crime scene during the police presence, reported and uploaded time stamped posts to his social media account.
According to him, police entered the house before 10pm and discovered a body shortly thereafter.
According to him, the police then put out a missing person's report seeking help to locate 2 missing people.
The photographer also reported to witnessing an old, bashed up king cab truck pulling up at the scene, and the driver, a female, acting 'shifty', asking if any bodies had been found, before news of Dee Dee's murder had been released.
He added that there was someone 'hiding' in the back of the truck trying not to be seen.

Detective Staeger reported, "As I entered the bedroom (Dee Dee's bedroom), I observed a light that was on in the closet in the northwest corner of the residence. This illuminated the bedroom just enough that I was able to see a person lying in the bed". (M. Staeger, Supplemental Report, 29th April 2016).
A person David Blanchard hadn't been able to see at 4.50pm.
" .. I observed what appeared to be a female lying on her stomach with what appeared to be blood on her back". (M. Staeger, Supplemental Report, 29th April 2016).
All visible in the dark with just the light from Dee Dee's closet.
And let's not forget the, very small/not so small set of LED Dr Who lights.

Staeger's report continues, "The female was partially covered by a pink in colour blanket which was covering just above the waist line and the lower portion of the body. The sheet also appeared to have blood on it". (M. Staeger, Supplemental Report, 29th April 2016).
Misinformation is being spread that it took the police a while to find Dee Dee's body after entering the house. This is untrue;  "As I entered the bedroom (Dee Dee's bedroom), I observed a light that was on in the closet in the northwest corner of the residence. This illuminated the bedroom just enough that I was able to see a person lying in the bed". (M. Staeger, S
upplemental Report, 29th April 2016).
(David Blanchard) "I was floored. I didn't understand. I was in that house, how could I have missed something like that". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
(Also David Blanchard) "I can tell you it took the detectives looking twice to find her (Dee Dee)".

Detective Staeger's associate, Sergeant Stanley, checked Dee Dee for a pulse and found her to be deceased.
It was recorded in newly obtained (2025) court documents that Sergeant Stanley reported, (Dee Dee's body), "appeared to be 'stiff", which is suggestive of rigor mortis. (Source: Hello Starlight Live).
Under normal circumstances there wouldn't be any signs in a deceased body of rigor mortis after 5 days, but Gypsy had turned the air con up to delay composition, which in turn prolonged the stages of rigor mortis.

Detective Staeger's crime scene diagram depicts the blue and the pink blankets, both shown to be on the bed during later crime scene photos, on the floor when he entered the bedroom.
(David Blanchard) "Dee Dee's bed was unmade. There's a lot of blankets on it, but nothing looks out of sorts". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018) becomes even more suspect.
The only thing Detective Staeger observed to be covering the lower part of Dee Dee's body was a pink sheet and the light bedspread/comforter.

The day Dee Dee's body was allegedly discovered, was also the day the police were able to track the IP address from Gypsy's earlier Facebook posts to Nick's home address.
On Monday 15th June 2015, at around 3am, the police arrived at Nick's home.
Following a brief standoff, Nick and Gypsy were arrested.

At Nick's 2018 trial, Gypsy reads from a deposition she made on 1st November 2018 relating to her arrest, "There were patrol cars all surrounding the house. They came in with the canine unit downstairs, and I remember that because I thought it was Nick's dog barking. But it was the canine unit, and they kept saying 'Come downstairs, Nick Godejohn. You are under arrest. Come down with your hands above your head'. And we both woke up at that point. I looked at him (Nick) scared, and he said to get in the closet. So we both got into this bedroom closet where we stayed for a little while, discussing what we were going to tell the cops. And I told him, 'Let me go down first, but you leave the closet'. I told the officers, 'I'm coming downstairs'. They said, 'Walk to my voice', and I walked down the stairs. They grabbed at me and put me in handcuffs, and they pulled me out into the yard and started asking me questions like, 'Does he have any weapons?' And I said, 'No'. And that was it". (Nicks Trial, 15th November, 2018).

In 2018, Gypsy recalls that the last thing she said to Nick was, "We're gonna stick together". (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2018).
Nick stuck.
Gypsy didn't.

Nick alleges in his 2015 police interview, that when he was arrested he was, "roughed up", claiming that he was thrown to the ground, hitting his face and stomach on the concrete in the process, and sustaining some 'irritation burns'.
He also wet himself.

Both Nick and Gypsy were transported to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.

Following Nick and Gypsy's arrest, the Waukesha Police Department held a press conference on Tuesday the 16th June, 2015.
Deputy Jim Arnott, immediately alerted reporters to the fact that, "Things are not always as they appear".
Never a truer word has been spoken.
He referred to the case as, "A tragic event surrounded by mystery and public deception", revealing that Gypsy could walk, "And she can do that very well".
Jim Arnott also stated that, "We have unearthed the appearance of a long financial fraud scheme".

Jim Arnott warned the public about donating to GoFundMe accounts which had been set up to support the family.
Bobby Pitre and Kimberley Blanchard immediately removed theirs.

And as Dee Dee Blanchard's bloodied corpse made its final journey from her home on a gurney, the wheels of the Gypsy train started rolling into action.

In May 2025, Trixie Layne obtained David Blanchard's 2015 police interview video following a FOIA request. The interview is not dated.
David Blanchard suggests early on in the interview that he attended the police department of his own free will, rather than being called in, but the detective suggests otherwise later on, "That's why we got you in".
Picture

For those of you who are of the opinion that David Blanchard is irrelevant to the case, then watching his police interview likely isn't going to change your opinion on that.
Conversely, if you're of the opinion that David Blanchard could help clear Dee Dee's name, as we are, your opinion isn't likely to change after watching his police interview either.
From our perspective, evidence supports the theory that David Blanchard knew, as early as 2011, if not earlier, that Gypsy could walk. We have zero doubt about that, so, a
lthough he speaks highly of Dee Dee in his interview, it doesn't distract from our opinion that he is hiding something.
And so we will continue to consider him very relevant to the case.
