​Excerpts from Gypsy Rose Blanchard's 2024, 'memoir', 'My Time To Stand', are  interspersed throughout the website, to illustrate and reinforce that a false narrative continues to be promoted.

         "I truly do worship her (Gypsy) to the point there is nothing I would not do for her" (Nicholas Godejohn, 2015)

Dee Dee Blanchard's autopsy report (seen here) reveals that at some point in her life, Dee Dee had endometrial cancer, which likely explains why Dee Dee underwent a hysterectomy.
On the 24th June 2012, Dee Dee was baptised at her local church, Vineyard. She was 45 years old.
Two possibilities spring to mind. 
Either Dee Dee suddenly found God or she'd had a brush with death.

On 26th June 2012, Dee Dee and Gypsy visited Hope Lodge in Kansas City, where Dee Dee had her head shaved and her hair donated to benefit adults and children with cancer. 
Dee Dee and Gypsy, who attended VisionCon in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013, appear to have skipped 2012. (Based only on no photos of Gypsy being discovered as of yet at VisionCon 2012).
We don't know exactly when Dee Dee was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, or what stage she was at when she was diagnosed. We don't even know what treatment Dee Dee received, if any, so we're not going to speculate too much, but the chain of events mentioned above suggests Dee Dee's diagnosis may have been made in late 2011 or early 2012.
We also know that Gypsy once told Nick that killing Dee Dee would be like a mercy killing, as she had cancer.
But then again Nurse Ratchet also told Nick she was Virgo Intacta.  
It has been suggested that Gypsy may have wanted Dee Dee killed as she didn't want to care for a mother stricken with cancer.

Soon after the 'not shooting Dee Dee' incident, 'terrified' Gypsy sets her alleged fears aside, again, and begins to sneak onto Dee Dee's laptop whilst she slept, which in the world painted by Gypsy Rose Blanchard, was a bit like prodding a sleeping lion with a stick.
Gypsy's own laptop had, of course, been smashed to smithereens by her unhinged mother. With a hammer. Twice.
According to Kristy, Dee Dee, "Smashed the laptop with the hammer, and when it was time to get a new one, she (Dee Dee) called Rod, you know, wanting a new lap top, and, sent off the lap top and it was, 'Look what mum got you' ". (Would You Kill My Mother For Me?, 2022).
Not according to Gypsy. Gypsy herself says that she had no laptop of her own, which is why she started sneaking on to Dee Dee's.
Sit down Kristy Blanchard.
And stay put.

A small aside. What happened to the BB gun? Maybe it was buried in the backyard with the voodoo mason jar. Who knows. No, seriously. Who knows? 

So here we find Gypsy, Dee Dee's laptop in hand, with yet another opportunity to escape the 'Butcher of Springfield'.
One would assume Gypsy would use the laptop as a means to achieve freedom, but no, Gypsy uses the worldwide web to access yet another boyfriend, which ultimately proves to be the same thing.
For Gypsy at least, all things considered.
For Nicholas Godejohn, things didn't pan out quite so well.

Gypsy states in 2018, that she was too afraid to reach out to anybody for help, “I beat myself up about that all the time, but I have to understand my mind frame back then. I was always so afraid of her. Afraid of the consequences after”. (ABC News Report, January 4th, 2018).
But clearly the fear of repercussions went out of the 25% tint-covered window when it came to risking awakening the gun-toting beast from its slumber, and getting caught red-handed on its laptop talking to men.​

In October 2012, Gypsy uploads her information onto a Christian dating website, where she presents herself as a, '20 year old, petite, 5' tall, brown eyed, brown haired, Catholic girl', looking for a long term relationship who would like to have children.
Or, in our world, a hit-man.
Gypsy records her profession as - 'artist/public speaker' and, Educational Level as - 'some school'.
One gut-wrenching day, Gypsy spots the profile of 23 year old Wisconsin resident, Nicholas Godejohn, who describes himself as an, 'average build, 6' tall, brown hair, hazel eyed, non smoking, non-drinking, unemployed at the moment, Catholic, looking for a marriage partner'; "Looking for that One and Only one for me! :)".
And Bingo!
​Nicholas Godejohn's life was all but over.

Nick's interests at that time included playing video games, making You Tube videos relating to music he liked, and 'looking for love'. 
When asked what life was like for him before he met Gypsy, Nick responds, “I actually was basically alone”. (Killer Couples, 2019). 
Nick had no idea how much of a preferable state loneliness was compared to the grave misfortune that  lay ahead of him.

Below are two videos Nicholas Godejohn uploaded to his YouTube gaming channel before he met Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Gypsy sees Nick's profile and thinks he's cute, so sends him a 'wink', and Nick returns the compliment. 
Gypsy tells lonely Nick, “:) im a little embarrassed this is my first time on a online dating site but i thought it might be nice to meet new people and maybe find love too. If i could id go out with you, you sound a lot like me lol”.
​Nick immediately responds, “i would be blessed to be able to be with a Beauty like yourself u definitely have the beauty inside i can actually feel how pure you are from inside”. 
After 4 days of chatting, Nick and Gypsy enter into a committed relationship, which Gypsy advertises on their newly created joint Facebook profile, 'Nicholas Bella Rose'. 
​And into the eye of the storm walked Nicholas Godejohn.

Nick describes meeting Gypsy as, "I don't know how to explain it, it's like, I, we, it's like it's, the way that we clicked is, it made it seem like, uh, we somehow just knew we were right for each other". (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
Gypsy says in 2024, "I thought Nick was this stable person that has his life together, and he's going to take care of me and everything's just going to be fine". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
We're pretty sure Nick was hoping the same things applied to Gypsy.
We have scoured the 2012 pages of Christiandatingforfree.com but have been unable to locate either Nick or Gypsy's profile.

​Nick had one brief relationship before meeting Gypsy. 
Gypsy told Nick he was her first ever boyfriend.
She also told him she was a virgin.
Cough, cough.
A FOIA request, released in March 2025, (Courtesy of: Into The Weeds Podcast) confirms that Gypsy continued speaking to Dan Glidewell during her 'relationship' with Nick.

Gypsy recalls in 2018, "We (Nick and Gypsy) started to talk about our lives, and we liked each other from the very beginning. I did tell him that I was in a wheelchair from the get go, and he seemed accepting. He was like, it doesn't matter to me, I love you all the same. It was just different to find someone that accepted me, even though I knew I could walk. I still thought it was nice of him to accept me as I am". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
But when Gypsy testified at Nick's trial in 2018, Gypsy is asked, "When did you tell Nick about the wheelchair?" Gypsy replies, "About a month after we met".
A month is slightly longer than 'from the get go'. 

According to Gypsy, controlling Dee Dee seems to had a eureka moment during this period, and started locking her laptop at night. 
​To get over the no laptop situation, 'petrified', but seasoned, kleptomaniac Gypsy, admits, “I stole a cell phone” (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018), which she connected up to the home wi-fi.

Gypsy describes her early relationship with Nick as, “At first it was all light hearted, you know. 'If you got married, where would you like to have your honeymoon?' You know, 'Where would you like to get married?' 'Where are all the places you want to travel?' Different things like that, normal stuff. And as it progressed, things got weird". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017). 
​For Nick. 

Gypsy says after about a year into their relationship, she confessed to Nick that she could walk. Nick responded that he wasn't surprised to hear this because he had, 'psychic abilities'.
Or maybe Nick did a google search and came across the news article with the photo of Gypsy swimming with dolphins and stingrays when she was 12 years old.
Gypsy fails to report in any documentaries she appears in, or in any media interviews she has given, that she also told Nick in a 2014 video (see transcript on the right), that it was solely her choice to fake the need for a wheelchair. 
Her choice.
​Hers.

​Nick then, according to Gypsy, allegedly makes another confession, not only is he 'psychic', he also has a multiple personality disorder.
It's highly unlikely, although perhaps not to Nick, that he has MPD. What Nick did have though was an alter ego, who he described to Gypsy as, 'Victor', a 500 year old vampire, the, 'violent part of himself'.
Gypsy's feelings on her introduction to 'Victor' will come as no surprise to anyone, “I started to be a little bit more scared”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Most of us would have run for the hills, but not Gypsy, because, Gypsy says, "I was desperate for affection". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Or an assassin.

Dan Glidewell also had a bit of an obsession with vampires, so much so that in 2011 he named his son after a vampire, so named after a character Dan played in a live-action role playing game. 
A 2015 crime scene photo taken at Dee Dee's house, shows a 'Support Vampires' rosette pinned to the fridge-freezer in the kitchen.
Was it Nick who introduced vampires into their relationship, or was it Gypsy?
​For the record, there is not a single image of Nicholas Godejohn dressed as anyone other than Nicholas Godejohn.
The same cannot be said of Dan Glidewell. (See image on the right).

(Excerpt below) In her frightful 2024 'memoir' ('My Time To Stand' and lie through the teeth killing my mother paid for), Gypsy ages 'Victor' considerably; he is now presented as being 3,000 years old.
Incredibly, Gypsy also records that Nick was the the only adult who knew she could walk, having earlier stated in the very same book, that Dan knew she could walk. 

Gypsy was 21 years old when she stole the cell phone, apparently driven by a need to communicate with Nick more than a fear of being beaten with a coat hanger, but this wasn't the first time Gypsy shoplifted and it wouldn't be the last. 

In February 2012, a news article reveals that Dee Dee was apprehended for shoplifting at a Hobby Lobby store in Springfield.
Gypsy is recorded in the article as, "paralysed from the waist down".
Craft supplies were discovered stashed away in 20 year old Gypsy's wheelchair.
The article records that the game was up when the manager of the store spotted a black feather 'poking out between Gypsy's leg and the wheelchair'.
The mind boggles.
​Dee Dee likely spoke the truth when she stated that she would never have given the store manager permission to search Gypsy's wheelchair if she had known it was hiding stolen goods. (Springfield News-Leader, June, 2015).

The author of a June 2015 Facebook post claims they had been present at the same Hobby Lobby store in 2006 or 2007, where they had witnessed Dee Dee and Gypsy, the 'local celebrity', get apprehended for shoplifting. 
The author states that Dee Dee accused Gypsy of trying to steal scrapbook paper by hiding it under her wheelchair.
(Dee Dee and Gypsy were living in Aurora before moving to Springfield in 2008, but the store would have been the closest Hobby Lobby to their Aurora home).

Dee Dee's criminal record consisted of passing a dud cheque in 1997, so either Dee Dee was an extremely adept shoplifter, identified as 'Fagin' from 'Oliver!', or had a kleptomaniac for a daughter.

Nick's cousin, Ricky Godejohn, reported to the police post-murder, that Nick told him Gypsy would steal lingerie from stores and then send him photos of her wearing it.
Entitled princess it is.
​With no fear of consequences or repercussions.

(Excerpt below) In Gypsy's trashy 2024 'memoir' ('My Time To Stand' and blame my lifetime ban from Hobby Lobby on the mother I murdered), she recalls the shoplifting episode at Hobby Lobby, referring to the items she stole as being, 'gluey, sticky, sparkly'. There is a news report, seen on the right, that lists the items Gypsy stole; two packages of stickers, a boarder, stamp pads and two pieces of unfinished wood.
​There is nothing sticky, gluey or sparkly' about the items she stole.
​Gypsy was 20 years old when she stole these items, not 9 years old as the list of items she claims her mother 'made' her steal suggests.

Gypsy tells Dr Phil, "He (Nick) had multiple personalities that were violent and scary. He said that he was a 500 year old vampire named Victor." (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019). 
In her earlier interview with Dr Phil in 2007, Gypsy expanded on Nick's multiple personalities, recalling, "He (Nick) had other personalities that were much more violent and scary, such as, he called him, 'The black one', and he would just talk in this horrible, scary voice, and he would talk about how he wanted to kill me, and how he wanted to rape me. He said, 'I will kill you so bad that they will never find your body'. (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
And still Gypsy stayed.
(Gypsy) "I was in love with, or thought I was in love with the good side of him". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
​Or thought, 'Bingo!'.

So rather than end the relationship with a 500 year old vampire who scared her to death and threatened to kill her, Gypsy says she instead made up alter egos to match Nick's. “I would have done just about anything to make him stay, to make him happy”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Gypsy says it was Nick's idea that she create a batch of alter ego's, "He (Nick) talked to me one day and he was just like, 'You know, I would like my other personalities to have a girlfriend". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017). 
And So Gypsy conjured up 5 alter egos.

At Nick's trial, Gypsy is asked about the names she used for her alter egos. Gypsy replies, "Ruby, Candy, Kitty, Bella, Demona".
Gypsy is then asked, "Why did you have different alter egos?"
Gypsy answers, "I made them up because he told me he had various alter egos, and so I created mine to fit the ones with his".
"Who is Demona?"
(Gypsy) "She's a character that I came up with. She's half werewolf and half human".
"Who is Kitty?"
(Gypsy) "She's like a childlike girl". 
"Ruby?"
(Gypsy) "She's my evil side".
"What about Candy?"
(Gypsy)"She's more of the slutty side of me." (15th November, 2018). 

Dr Phil probed Gypsy further on her and Nick's alter egos and it's clear that she wasn't prepared for this in depth line of questioning -
(Dr Phil) "Kitty?"
(Gypsy) "That went with (pause) his (pause) little boy personality. 
(Dr Phil) "Candy?"
(Gypsy) "That went with (pause) his, um, (pause) that personality that's more sexual". 
Gypsy had no hesitation in matching up Ruby. (Gypsy) "Ruby was for Victor". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).

And still the lion slept. In a bedroom. Just off the living room. Just off the living room where Gypsy would sit and pose as Bella on the living room couch licking a knife, taken just two weeks before Dee Dee was murdered.
​Or to pose and speak as Ruby in the family bathroom, just feet away from where Dee Dee slept, apparently with a knife and gun close to hand. 
​That's how 'scared' Gypsy was of Dee Dee at this point. 

Dan's sworn testimony, "He (Dan) says he developed a taste of power exchange role-playing from her (Gypsy). He says she would send nude photos, dress up in costumes, and use various fictitious names".

Gypsy claims BDSM then crept into her relationship with Nick, which Gypsy claims 'weird and scary' Nick introduced her to,
"(Nick) Started talking about something called BDSM. And at first I didn’t know what it was, so I looked it up. And once I looked it up, I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this’. And then he kind of just talked me into it and was like, ‘It’ll be fine’, you know. ‘Try this with me’. And so, I agreed to it. I was taught that a woman’s role is to be submissive and the man is dominant, so I didn’t think it was that outlandish. Then his ex had messaged me. She told me, you know, he’s a really bad guy. He thinks he’s a vampire and he’s into all this dominant/submissive stuff. And I was thinking, ‘It’s just an ex, you know, she’s badmouthing him. She doesn’t know anything, she’s jealous, blah, blah, blah. She was right”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
One word.
Dan.
A wild guess.

David Blanchard - Links to BDSM And The Murder Of Dee Dee Blanchard

In 2017, Gypsy says of Nick, "I really don't know what's wrong with him, but it's not like I had a boyfriend before". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
That's a fair comment.
​Dan didn't consider himself to be Gypsy's 'boyfriend'. 
We don't suppose the older man in the hotel room she was caught with did either.
Or the 4 men, aged 35-30, she sent topless photos to in 2010 and 2011.
​Gypsy tells Dr Phil, "I was very, very naive back then. I'd never, never had a boyfriend". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
True.
​Just a 'friend' she had sex with, and men she sent nude photos to.
​
​As far as we know, Nick had never engaged in any type of role playing activities prior to meeting Gypsy.
​As you can see from all Gypsy's role-playing images, her initial 'fear' ('I started to be a little more scared') and 'hesitance' ('I don't want to do this') about BDSM seemed to abate, and she appears to have thrown herself wholeheartedly into the new experience, like the real trooper she was.
Or like the experienced BDSM role player she was.  

Let's take a short breather from Gypsy Rose Blanchard's gobbledygoop and just remind ourselves exactly who Gypsy is.

Gypsy has played the role of victim since the day she was arrested in 2015, for her role in her mother's murder.
She has hung Dee Dee out to dry and sentenced a vulnerable man to a life behind bars.
According to Gypsy, she was a 'victim' of Dee Dee, a 'victim' of Nick, and a 'victim' of Dan. 
She has maintained that she was smothered by Dee Dee, who never left her alone.
She has claimed that Dee Dee didn't allow her to have any friends or freedom, and made her sick and undergo unnecessary medical procedures. 
She has stated that she was afraid of Nicholas Godejohn, who manipulated her and introduced her to BDSM.

​And then came the FOIA requests.
​Brace yourselves.

In late 2024 and early 2025, official court documents were released following a FOIA request made by Into The Weeds Podcast.
These records - some of which can be seen in images to the right and below - expose the real Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
Please take a moment to read them, and then a moment to recover.

In 2018, Gypsy was subpoenaed to appear as a defence witness at Nicholas Godejohn's trial.
Whilst under oath, Gypsy swore -
1. Nick was her first boyfriend. Although Dan Glidewell does not identify as once having been Gypsy's 'boyfriend', Gypsy admits he was a sexual partner. Debunked ✓ (Lied under oath).
2. It was Nick who introduced her to role play with alter egos. (Gypsy) "It was 2010 and 2011. I had just surfest inside Gypsy when I started playing games with guys". Debunked ✓ (Lied under oath).
3. Nick was the 'master' and she was his 'slave'. ('My Baby Gypsy And Mistress Demona's Random Video') "She (Gypsy) tells Nicholas that things have changed, she is his dominant and he is her slave". Debunked ✓ (Lied under oath).
4. That many of the videos she made were scripted by Nick who instructed her what to say. "Out of 154 videos, only a very small portion of the videos appear to be scripted by Nicholas".  Debunked ✓ (Lied under oath).
5. That she didn't always want to do the things Nick told her to do, but she did them because Nick told her to do them. ('Demona To Sir Black One') "She (Gypsy) goes on to say she overwhelms Nick sometimes and can rape him by force". Debunked ✓ (Lied under oath).
6. That she engaged in 'rape fantasies', but wasn't 'crazy about the idea' and only engaged to indulge Nick. "(Gypsy) uses an object and her fingers to have sex with herself for almost twelve minutes".  Debunked ✓ (Lied under oath).
We'd call that perjury.

Dr. Theodore Wasserman, a pediatric neuropsychologist, hired by Nicholas Godejohn's defense attorney at his appeal hearing, summed Nick and Gypsy's relationship up to a tee - Gypsy held the stick. Gypsy dangled the carrot.

​And there's more.

Following Nick and Gypsy's arrest, a forensic examination was carried out on both their phones.
A 15 minute long video of Gypsy speaking directly to Nick was discovered, introducing Nick to 'Ruby', Gypsy's 'evil side'.
This audio video was recorded on 26th May 2015 in Dee Dee's bathroom, less than 2 weeks before Dee Dee was murdered.
Gypsy is wearing a red wig and a black jacket in the video, and addresses Nick as, 'Sir'. 
For someone who says they 'snuck' onto Dee Dee's laptop when Dee Dee was asleep, would that same someone record a 15 minute long audio video, whilst dressed revealingly, in a room situated just a few feet away from where Dee Dee slept, in a room that did not have a door?
Wouldn't that same someone not be 'afraid' the hammer- swinging Dee Dee, who allegedly slept with a knife on her bedside table, would walk in on her?
Apparently not.
Where was Dee Dee when Gypsy was screaming 'loudly' in the video entitled, 'Cum With Demona', "F**k my p***y, f**k it, f**k me, Master, harder"? 
​Where was Gypsy's fear?

Even more surprisingly, would that same someone be saying out loud what Gypsy is recorded as saying in a video entitled, 'Ruby's Introduction To Her Perfect Man', which was sent to Nick about 3 weeks before Dee Dee was killed.
The Greene County Sheriff's Office supplementary report, which is a summation of the video, reveals, "Gypsy stated in this audio/video she likes to get into trouble and she is not sorry when she gets caught. Gypsy stated her, "caring" was broken and she was not scared of law enforcement but she would be scared of Nicholas's evil side.
Gypsy stated she would do anything with Nicholas, to include murder, rape and assault. Gypsy tells Nicholas if at any time a girl tried to become his girlfriend she would kill them with pleasure and there would be lots of gore and blood.
Gypsy stated if a girl was trying to get with Nicholas for sex she might allow it. But if the girl tried to get with him as a girlfriend she would kill her and they could kill her together. Gypsy goes on to say how if it were family members murdered she would not be so brutal and she would have to step back and let him handle it.
Gypsy stated she would allow Nicholas to rape her anytime he wanted to, but not physically assault her, but she was ok with, "rough sex, and rape sex".
Gypsy talked about the romantic side of Ruby and how Ruby was not touchy feely, however, Kitty, Candy, and Bella were romantic sides of her.
Gypsy stated in this audio/video, she was very good at stealing and talked about how they could steal bigger things together. Gypsy talked about how she was, "very good at planning things".
Gypsy said she liked to cause, "mischief and mayhem", but Nicholas would have to put her in charge of all the planning.
Gypsy stated she comes up with, "very, very bad ideas", and then she referred to her bad ideas as robbery, rape, vandalism, and stealing vehicles". 
Where was Dee Dee?
Where was Gypsy's fear?

For a novice who claimed to know nothing about BDSM, "I don't want to do this" Gypsy was a very quick learner. 
"Gypsy was scared shitless of her mom", states Rod Blanchard in 2024.
So it would seem.
Make no mistake, given how things transpire, Ruby is less an alter ego and more Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

A second video, sent to Nicholas Godejohn on 22nd May 2015, just over 2 weeks before Dee Dee was murdered, shows Gypsy walking into Dee Dee's empty bedroom and approaching her bed. (Video seen below).
Gypsy stops at Dee Dee's bed, and with her free hand points towards Dee Dee's pillow.
Gypsy then makes several stabbing movements down towards the pillow.
This was Gypsy's instructional video to Nick on how she wanted him to kill Dee Dee.
At the same time Gypsy made this video, she also took photographs of Dee Dee sleeping in her bed.
​Where was Gypsy's fear?

​A third video features Gypsy dressed as another one of her alter egos, 'Demona'. (Video seen below).
In this video, Gypsy threatens Nick that if he doesn't do what she wants him to do, she'll take Gypsy away from him. "I will use the one card that I have over you. Gypsy". 
​And use it, Gypsy did.

Some readers may be familiar with the pink Mandalorian suit Gypsy wore at VisionCon 2013, as seen below.
The maker of the suit was a high-ranking member of 'Squad 66: The Temple Raiders', the group which had awarded Gypsy with an honorary membership at VisionCon 2009, and he also worked at VisionCon.
David Blanchard, Dee Dee's 'good friend' was also a member of The Temple Raiders, and he was the president of VisionCon when Gypsy attended in 2013; he was also good buddies with the man who made Gypsy's suit.
The author of the post seen below, states they believed Gypsy was 15 years old in October 2012, when they agreed to make the suit. 
Gypsy was in fact 21 years old.

David Blanchard, who acted shocked when told in his police interview in 2015 that Gypsy could walk, admitted to knowing Gypsy 'ran away' with Dan in 2011. 
The man who made the Mandalorian suit was also very likely aware of what had taken place.  
This, 'We didn't know Gypsy's real age or that she could walk' garbage has to end.
The Mandalorian suit was made after 'the man in the hotel room' incident in 2009.
It was made after the 'running away' with Dan episode in 2011.
There was gossip amongst the VisionCon community about Gypsy hitting on older men.
There would have been talk amongst the people involved in the organisation of VisionCon. 
Which begs the question.
Why are they lying and what did/do they gain by lying?

On March 11th 2013, at around 7pm, Nick was arrested at his local McDonalds on suspicion of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.
The incident report notes that, 'Officers responded around 7:18pm to a report of a man viewing pornographic material on his laptop and touching himself inappropriately in view of customers and employees. Godejohn admitted to the behaviour and was found to be carrying a concealed knife (a small, folding pen knife) without a permit. He was arrested and transported to the police station for processing".

Nick admitted to officers that he had spent 9 hours in the McDonalds, but said this was because he was accessing their free wi-fi service. He said he had initially purchased and eaten food, but had stayed so long as he was carrying out a software update on his lap top which had taken several hours.
Nick had refused to leave the premises after the manager had confronted him about his inappropriate behaviour and requested him to leave, because he said his update wasn't completed.
Nick also admitted to officers that he had watched pornographic movies and viewed pornographic images at some point during his visit.
We don't know the exact details of what Nick was watching, but Gypsy's BDSM videos and photos spring to mind.

The idea that Nick was full on masturbating in a busy McDonalds whilst viewing pornography for 9 hours straight has been promoted in the media since his arrest for the murder of Dee Dee in 2015.
We have read the police report. The McDonalds was far from full and Nick was not masturbating. Rather, customers allege that at one point, Nick was 'fondling himself'.
Nick claims he was 'scratching himself' inside his trousers. 

The media had a field day with the story after Nick was arrested in 2015. 
"Godejohn also has a criminal past. In 2013 he was arrested after investigators say he was watching pornography and fondling himself in a McDonalds restaurant for 9 hours, police finding a large knife during the arrest." (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
(Dr Phil) "He (Nick) was already a convict. You see, Nicholas had a criminal record. He was convicted of disorderly conduct ... He was caught fondling himself while eating French fries and watching porn on his laptop". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).

On 11th November 2013, Nick pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct.
​He was fined $210.80 repayable at $25.00 per month, commencing on 15th December, 2013.
​The charge of carrying a concealed weapon was dismissed.

(Extract below) In Gypsy's 2024 stomach-churning 'memoir', Gypsy claims she had no clue that Nick had been arrested at McDonalds until after her arrest in 2015. However, in a Police Supplemental report authored by Stan Hancock, dated 29th November 2017, (Source: 'Into The Weeds Podcast' ) reference is made to a video Nick sent Gypsy in which he talks freely to Gypsy about his arrest. On 20th June 2013, Nick also sent Gypsy two videos labelled 'Trial Video'. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and drip feed you a heap of bullshit). 
In Gypsy's equally poorly researched collaboration, 'Conversations On The Eve Of Freedom', it is incorrectly recorded that Nick had a criminal record for indecent exposure. ​

From 26th June until 29th June 2013, Dee Dee and Gypsy attended the 2013 Oley Conference in Hyannis, Massachusetts. (The Oley Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides education, advocacy, and community for adults and children who depend on tube feeding or IV nutrition).
​Funds had been raised for Dee Dee and Gypsy to attend the conference via their Facebook page, Gypsy's Trip.
At the time of Dee Dee's death in 2015, they had been trying to raise funds for a second trip to an Oley Conference in New York.

If you need any further evidence that Gypsy was involved in the scam, here it is.
By the time of the 2013 Oley conference, Gypsy was a month short of her 22nd birthday.
She was sexually active.
She had a boyfriend who was offering her a home and a future with him.
She knew she could walk.
By her own account, she had tried to kill her mother.
Yet still, in our opinion, she knowingly and willingly entered herself in 3 award categories at the event, including 'Child Of The Year'.  
She didn't win.
​We bet that stung.

And who was there to welcome Dee Dee and Gypsy home from the conference?
David and Kim Blanchard. One of whom, again in our opinion, knew Gypsy could walk. (More likely they both did).

​For anyone who still believes Gypsy Rose Blanchard was a 'victim', look at the final image below.
​Gypsy was 21 years old when she wheeled herself around an event for sick children, competing against them for a second shot at a prize she well knew she was not eligible to win.

Without question, Dee Dee was also a part of the scam, but to suggest she was seeking attention for herself is absurd.
She was a single mother seeking out the best treatment for her sick child, whilst probably also doing her best to combat, what must have been at this point, adult Gypsy's sense of entitlement and lack of morals, a battle Dee Dee was clearly losing.

​In October 2014, 'Gypsy's Revenge' (2018), co-starring the shrinking violet, Aleah Woodmansee, tells us that, not having not heard from Gypsy for at least 2 years, Gypsy starts messaging Aleah again. (See images on the right).
Gypsy tells Aleah, "This is my personal account, my mom is still overprotective so she doesn't know about this account".
Gypsy raves to Aleah all about 'wonderful' Nick', her 'first boyfriend', revealing their plans to marry, even telling Aleah they had already chosen a name for their first child, Nicholas or Gabriella.
(Gypsy), “I’m 18. Nick…is 24".
Gypsy was 23.
Gypsy knew she was 23.
​No mention is made of Nick being a vampire, or of Gypsy being 'scared' of Nick. 

Aleah claims she felt uncomfortable talking with Gypsy behind Dee Dee's back, so let the messaging and the friendship fizzle out.
This is at odds with what Aleah told a detective in 2015, after Dee Dee was murdered, as recorded in a supplementary police report "Gypsy had gotten upset with Aleah and blocked her from Facebook". (Stan Hancock, Supplementary Report, 14th June, 2015). 
What is it to be Aleah? Your decision or Gypsy's? 
Aleah was also happy to report to the police, "The man (Nick) had been sending her (Gypsy) 'sexual text messages'. 

On the 13th November, 2014, Gypsy messages Aleah, 'Help me Sis'.
At last! At last Gypsy is reaching out for help to escape her miserable life! 
Nope.
Gypsy wanted Aleah's help perpetuating a lie.

Gypsy later recalls Aleah in the almost correctly named news reports, 'Gypsy's Truth And Lies', “We got along so perfect, you know, I saw her as an angel that can do no wrong”.(Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2019). 
In Gypsy's 2015 prison interview, Gypsy describes Aleah as a, "Bully". 

Aleah claims she had no further contact with Gypsy after November 2014, that is, until after Gypsy had been arrested in June 2015, at which time Aleah suddenly decided she wanted to 'support' Gypsy, and so attended all of Gypsy's preliminary court hearings with her new-found buddy, Megan J Pack, self-professed expert of this case, and pole vaulting champion of the distance between sitting on a fence and jumping on a train. 
Whilst expressing not to want media attention, media-shy Aleah can be seen in the final image on the right receiving attention from what she clearly knows to be the media.
The lady doth not appear displeased.

Aleah's initial thoughts when the case first broke in 2015, casts some light on pre 'Mommy Dead And Dearest' sentiments towards Dee Dee, 'I don't believe all blame should be put on Dee Dee'.
​Unfortunately the blame train had already left the station, and Aleah would soon be boarding it.

Immediately below, you will see images relating to yet another interview Aleah 'Greta 'I want to be left alone' Gabor', Woodmansee gave in 2015. 
(Aleah) "That woman (Dee Dee) was like practically killing herself constantly trying to help Gypsy". 
Never a truer word was spoken.

In 2018, Gypsy stated, "I couldn't trust Aleah because my mother was starting to put things in my head that Aleah wasn't my true friend and that she was a bad influence on me so I couldn't be friends with her anymore". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018). 
Hmm. All Dee Dee's fault?
(Gypsy, 2014) "I heard rumors that when we we're friends u was making fun of me behind my back so I stopped being your friend ... My mom and I didn't like you after .. "
Dee Dee may have repeated said rumors to Gypsy, but Gypsy seems to take accountability for ending the friendship.
We choose to ignore anything further relating to this subject as soon as Gypsy says, "Well I'll be honest".

Of all the things Gypsy says, the most revealing is when she tells Aleah, "thay found out I have a chromosome deletion that's why I have medical issues". 
​Boom.
In 2014, Gypsy knew she had a chromosome disorder.
In 2014, Aleah knew Gypsy had a chromosome disorder.
Further, (Gypsy) 'I have a chromosome disorder deletion that's why I have medical issues'.
Not only did Gypsy 23 year old Gypsy know she had a chromosome disorder, she also knew it explained all the other illnesses she had.
Why wasn't this reported in a single post-murder documentary Gypsy appeared in?
Why wasn't it revealed in a single media interview Aleah Woodmansee oh so very reluctantly gave? 

​In the messages, Gypsy tells Aleah that her health is, "stable".
Gypsy's offers no thanks to Dee Dee's due diligence, her love for her child, for Gypsy reaching that point, instead she notes -
(Gypsy) "My mom's health has gotten worse over the, Yrs she's got diabetes heart problems glochomo (affects eye vision) liver disease kidney failure parkensons disease".
But hey, never mind about Dee Dee's issues, (Gypsy) "mom and I are going to disneyword again in January". 
All narcissistic Gypsy can harp on about is Gypsy, and the great life Gypsy has. 

​(Excerpts below) In 2024, Gypsy claimed she didn't find out she had a chromosome disorder until after she was imprisoned in 2015. She then goes on to suggest that it was a coincidence that she had all the illnesses associated with the disorder, as she didn't actually have anything medically wrong with her.
Gypsy also states she found a chromosome test that had been ordered in 2012, yet Gypsy's microdeletion disorder was diagnosed in 2011. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and get rich real quick).

For Dee Dee Blanchard, it was business as usual at 2103 W Volunteer way, Springfield, which no doubt would have included trying to care for Gypsy's health needs - to say nothing of attempting to deter her 'daddy' issues - whilst battling her own.
We can only imagine that Dee Dee was also throwing copious amounts of anxiety medication down her throat to help cope with everything that Gypsy had, and was, putting her through.

On January 19th 2014, Dee Dee (or Gypsy) posts on their shared Facebook profile, that Dee Dee is going in for a hospital stay, reporting that it will be the first time Dee Dee and Gypsy have not slept in the same bed.
On January 24th 2015, Dee Dee or Gypsy share that Dee Dee had been taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Dee Dee had a kidney stone trapped in her urethra, an extremely painful condition, which was broken down into smaller stones.
Only someone who has experienced a similar medical emergency can appreciate the level of excruciating pain Dee Dee must have been in. 
What a perfect opportunity, not taken, for the desperately unhappy Gypsy to do one and sling her hook.

In January 2015, Dee Dee and Gypsy make another trip to  Disney World, Florida courtesy of the Make A Wish Foundation where 22 year old Gypsy met the cast of Harry Potter at Universal studios. 
Dee Dee's health was in serious decline by the beginning of 2015 and Gypsy would have known that.
But hey, never mind, "I know you're sick mamma, and have trouble getting around, but we are going to Disney World because I'm the special one!".

Dee Dee was also busy raising funds for an Oley Foundation conference in New York, that she hoped her and Gypsy would attend, due to be held from June 29th until July 3rd 2015. 
Known as 'The Gypsy Road Trip', a Facebook page made to promote the trip was created and managed by none other than a member of the VisionCon community.
You know, the community where everybody thought Gypsy was a sick, little girl.

'The Gypsy's Trip' Facebook page describes 'wheelchair bound, feeding-tube fed' Gypsy, as having chromosome defects, muscular Dystrophy, mild MR (heart disease), hearing and vision impairment, a history of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, asthma, allergies and nocturnal hypoventilation, to mention just 'a few of the issues of what she faces'. 
And the creator of this page, an active member of VisionCon, didn't think to question how this 'little girl', who sounds just about at death's door, made it through so many hectic, full-on weekends at VisionCon?
One of Dee Dee's siblings reposted the Gypsy Rose Trip page encouraging donations, ''Please help my beloved niece be blessed with top notch medical treatment'.
Strange that, given Dee Dee's siblings didn't think anything was seriously wrong with Gypsy.

Why didn't 23 year old Gypsy leave when Dee Dee was hospitalised or when she was back home recovering?
She would have had full access to Dee Dee's safe.
She would have had full access to the commodity that was Dee Dee's medicine cupboard.
She had Nick who had been encouraging her to leave, poised to come and 'rescue' her.
She had a pair of adequately working legs.
​Why didn't Gypsy leave then?
​In our humble opinion, because it would have left Dee Dee breathing. 

According to Nick, shooting Dee Dee with the BB gun wasn't the first time Gypsy had tried to kill Dee Dee.
In a 2019 prison interview, Nick recalls, "She (Gypsy) warned me that she'd tried it twice before, and she's only mentioned one of these times in the media. The other, apparently, she almost got close to killing her mother, but, however, she couldn't do it. She was attempting to do it mainly for someone that she had an infatuation with. And she found out later that's just infatuation, but the person keeps using her to this day". 
The only person evidence suggests Gypsy had/has an infatuation with is Dan, and if Gypsy had planned to kill Dee Dee on two occasions but had failed to do so before she met Nick, was it ever a relationship she wanted with Nick in the first place, or did she just take up with him because she needed someone to do the job she couldn't seem to get done herself? 
The one alleged attempt Gypsy has made public was the episode with the BB gun.
​When/what was the other attempt?

Gypsy had been actively encouraging Nick to participate in killing Dee Dee for over a year before the actual murder took place, probably closer to two years, and Nick had repeatedly said no.
Gypsy had tried every trick in the book to manipulate Nick into doing it, all too aware of his neurodevelopmental disorders - which she would later claim were fabricated -  and still Nick said no.

A year and a half into their relationship, Nick was quite rightly beginning to question Gypsy's sanity.
On 16th May 2014, Nick had a conversation with someone he refers to as 'Sis', later identified in court documents as Alli Noble, who seemed to have full knowledge of the plan to kill Dee Dee.
Nick revealed to 'Sis' that an earlier plan to kill Dee Dee was abandoned, as Gypsy had changed her mind about doing it.
This was over a year before Dee Dee was murdered.
From our reckoning, that's 3 times Dee Dee's life was almost ended, spanning 2011 - 2014.
That's roughly 1,450 days Gypsy could have just walked away. 
It's also 1,450 days Dee Dee sacrificed trying to give Gypsy a good life, whilst Gypsy planned to end hers.
18 minutes after speaking with 'Sis', Nick opened up another conversation with her, "Ya Sis I have to ask u something. how crazy do u think Gypsy is? U won't hurt My feelings or anything I really wanna know tho since I just obviously can tell she is I just can't seem to put in words how crazy i think she is".
​'Sis' replies, "well idk how to put it into words either but I will be honest I would not ever kill my mom or anyone else unless they tried to kill me first".
'Sis' was never called to give evidence at Nicholas Godejohn's trial. (Information credited to Into The Weeds Podcast).
Shame that.
We would have liked to have known why 'Sis' never alerted anyone to the plan to murder Dee Dee Blanchard.
We'd also be interested to know if either Nick or Gypsy messaged 'Sis' on 14th June 2015, the day one of her Facebook photos was liked by 'Nicholas Bella Rose', aka Gypsy's secret Facebook account. 
​Liked on a day when Nick and Gypsy were hiding out at Nick's house following Dee Dee's murder.
 
Having to question Gypsy's sanity really should have been Nick's point of exit, but Gypsy had had over 18 months to manipulate the manipulable Nick. 
So instead of 'Adios amigo', Nick clung to the idea that killing Dee Dee was a 'last resort', pinning all his hopes on winning Dee Dee over in person.
​And so Gypsy hatched a plan.
Dee Dee Blanchard would meet Nicholas Godejohn, view him as a good match for her only child, and all would be well. 

The 'Nick's introduction to Dee Dee' plan was put in motion 3 months in advance, with Gypsy uploading a post on her secret Facebook profile, "3 months until I experience True Love, and a kiss I will never forget". 
Gypsy micro managed the whole thing, from buying and sending Nick the clothes she wanted him to wear, to sending him the money for his return Greyhound bus ticket.
How did Gypsy buy and pay for Nick clothes without her 'captor's' knowledge? Or did she steal them?
And how did Gypsy post them off? Did she sneak off to the post office alone?
Who knows.
Dee Dee.
Dee Dee likely knew.​

In 2017, Gypsy spoke about Nick's bus ticket, but doesn't mention how she paid for it, telling us that she told Nick, "I'll buy your ticket and you come to the movie theatre". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
In another interview, Gypsy again forgets to mention how she paid for the bus ticket, "He (Nick) took a greyhound bus" (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
In 2018, Gypsy yet again forgets to mention how she found the funds for the ticket, "So we got our bus ticket and he came to Springfield" (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
At Nick's 2018 trial, Gypsy admitted under oath, "I stole the money from my mother and I sent it to him via the mail". (Nick's trial, 2018).
Gypsy should be put on the stand more often. 

And where was Dee Dee, the ever-watchful owner of the 'prize bull', whilst Gypsy was busy stealing her money and sizing Nick up for an outfit?
Was Dee Dee never like, 'Hey Gypsy, where's my laptop? Who keeps deleting my search history? What was delivered? Why are you buying men's clothes? What's with all this sexy lingerie? Where did you get the money to pay for all these things? Why do you have an itsy, bitsy, teenie, weenie neon pink bikini? Do we have enough diapers? Who the hell are these baby clothes for? Where did my whipped cream go? Oh my God! We've been robbed'!'
Did Dee Dee never come across the plastic container filled with baby clothes that Gypsy told Nick about in a video, as recorded in an official court document? (Transcript seen below. Source: Into The Weeds Podcast).
It really doesn't add up. 

There are allegations that, Dan aside, Nick wasn't the only man Gypsy role played for. That she had an online paying audience. That she was fleecing men for money. Maybe the wrong kind of men. Men of standing. Of prominence.
​We wouldn't put anything past Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
​
​We don't know who was ruling that roost by 2015, but our money's on Gypsy. There just seems to be a tad too much going on to escape eagle-eyed Dee Dee's attention.
Did a worn-out, worn-down, sick Dee Dee cave in as far as Gypsy's antics were concerned?
Did Dee Dee just throw in the towel, turn a blind eye to whatever Gypsy was getting up to and hope she would see the error of her ways?
Had Dee Dee reached a point of desperation with Gypsy's lying and scheming and threaten to expose things Gypsy was doing? 
The Gypsy train has always steered the onus on, 'What was Dee Dee doing to prevent Gypsy from leaving?'
That question's been answered. 
Nothing.
The question we should be focusing on is 'Why did Gypsy want Dee Dee dead?'

(Excerpt below) In Gypsy's second fictional 'memoir' published in December, 2024, Gypsy makes the startling claim that Nick's mother paid for Nick's bus ticket for the cinema trip. Startling because, as you can see above, Gypsy swore in 2018 in a court of law, under oath that,  "I stole the money from my mother and I sent it to him via the mail" to cover the cost of Nick's bus ticket. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and not even try and cover up my lies anymore, because people are so gullible and stupid').

On or around 9th March 2015, Nick, dressed in an outfit fit for Prince Charming, made the almost 600 mile trip from his home in Big Bend, Wisconsin to meet Dee Dee and Gypsy in Springfield, Missouri at a cinema screening of Cinderella planned for the 12th.
It seems a rather long stay for Nick just to engage in a cinema date, but we do know that Nick was in Springfield on the 9th as we have a copy of his Papa John's receipt for food he had delivered to his hotel room on the evening of the 9th March, 2015.

The plan was for Nick and Gypsy to innocently bump into each other at the cinema, as if strangers, which wasn't so hard to do given Dee Dee, Gypsy and Nick were the only people watching the film. Gypsy would then introduce Nick to Dee Dee, who would instantly adore him, and everyone would live happily ever after. Just like in Cinderella, the film Gypsy never forgets to mention they went to see in any of her interviews.
According to Gypsy, it was a total disaster. 

Gypsy claims Dee Dee instantly despised Nick, (Dee Dee) 'He's creepy. He's weird. He's coming to see a kid's movie alone by himself' ". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Gypsy continues, "We were the only people at the movies, and (laughing) he didn't have a kid with him, or a girlfriend, or nothing. He's just this guy going to see this chick movie". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Says the 23 year old woman mocking the man she placed in that situation, who watched Cinderella, dressed as Cinderella. 

Gypsy claims Nick, "Shook up a conversation with my mom at the movie theatre, and she thought that he was creepy, gave off a sort of dangerous vibe, so she moved down a couple of seats and told me to follow her. I didn't". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Gypsy tells Dr Phil, "My mother was sitting right next to us. And then my mother got increasingly more angry because I was paying more attention to him (Nick) than I was to her". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
​But there is a photo of a very happy looking Nick and Gypsy taken at the cinema, seen below. Who do you think took that photo? There were only 3 people there. And who do you think took the photo of an allegedly 'angry, wanting to move seats' yet smiling, Dee Dee? 

And so on to the more likely truth.
According to Nick, Dee Dee was really nice to him when they met at the theatre. He would later say in his police interview, that Dee Dee was always nice to him. 
Always nice to him?
In a 'Love It' magazine article, dated July 2015, a close neighbour of Dee Dee's, Kevin Corbisier, who lived just 3 doors down from Dee Dee at that time, stated that Dee Dee knew and approved of Gypsy's relationship with Nick.
Most of what's written in the article is suspect, but, If nothing else, Dee Dee must have viewed Nick as a massive step up from Dan Glidewell.

Nick recalls in his police interview, "I don't know what it was, but apparently the night got ruined in some way. I couldn't, I was trying to understand what was going on with her mom". (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
From Nick's perspective, it was an all round success, topped off by the fact that, (Nick) "She (Gypsy) wanted to have sex with me, so I did". (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
​Gypsy says that her and Nick planned in advance for her to lose the myth that was her virginity in the toilets at the cinema, so off she headed to the bathroom, with Nick in hot pursuit, to put their plan into action. 
Nick reveals in his police interview that they had sex in the men's bathroom.
Gypsy reveals that it took place in, "The handicap stall" (Mother Knows Best, 2019).
Oh, the irony.
And we are supposed to believe that Dee Dee didn't jump up and follow the 'creepy, weird, dangerous man' who followed her daughter out of the all but empty screening room?

Nick says that after deflowering of the already deflowered Gypsy, they went back to the watching the movie.
Not according to Lolita they didn't, (Gypsy) "My mother started to worry, so she came out of the auditorium and just in the nick of time we were back in concessions. And my mother told me, 'Why are you still hanging out with that guy?' And that led to an argument, and I'm like, 'He's not doing anything wrong. He just wants to be my friend. Why can't I have friends?' She took me to the bathroom and she slapped me, and it made me feel devastated that it all went wrong because I knew that mom's never gonna let me be happy, have friends, fall in love, get married, have kids, have a normal life and I never wanted any more than that. I got scared and desperate and the only thing I can think about was I want this ideal life of freedom and happiness, How can I get it?" (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Nick doesn't recall any of this happening.
Because it likely didn't.
And here's the nail in the coffin. In 2017, Gypsy agreed with Dr Phil's statement that once their 'encounter' had taken place, (Dr Phil), "You get back in your chair and motor back out to the auditorium and she (Dee Dee) knew none the better". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).

(Excerpts below) After sticking with her claim for almost a decade that she had sex with Nick at the cinema, Gypsy decided to strike it through in December, 2024, and say she didn't in fact have sex with Nick at the cinema, as Nick was unable to perform due to her being forced to wear a diaper by Dee Dee. Gypsy is clearly using another opportunity to take an unsubstantiated swipe at Dee Dee's alleged abuse, but does so at the cost of making herself look ridiculous.
Gypsy also states that she left the restroom a virgin when we all know that fence had been jumped way before the cinema visit. (Source: My Time To Stand', and have you believe whatever I want you to believe).

In Gypsy's 2015 police interview, Gypsy claimed Dee Dee let Nick know how she felt about him following the cinema trip, during an argument they had on the telephone.
​What will it be in 2026? Dee Dee expressed her feeling towards Nick in a letter she sent him via pigeon carrier?

Once Nick was safely back in Missouri, he says Gypsy told him she sent Dee Dee a bouquet of flowers as if from him, obviously in a further attempt to get Dee Dee's approval of their relationship.
Nick claims that Gypsy showed him an image of the receipt for the purchase.
Why would Gypsy have sent Dee Dee flowers, given her later account of an angry Dee Dee loathing him and slapping her face? 
​Following a 2024 FOIA request, information relating to Nick's internet search history included a search for, 'Springfield Missouri flower service'. Whilst this doesn't prove Nick's version of what happened, it casts doubt over the version given by Gypsy.
Gypsy recalls in a 2018 prison interview, "She (Dee Dee) had ordered me to stay away from him (Nick), and needless to say that was a very long argument that lasted a couple of weeks. Yelling, throwing things, calling me names. Bitch, slut, whore". (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2018). 
But did that really happen, or was Dee Dee happily caught up in the aroma of fresh flowers and singing Nick's praises to the neighbours?
Gypsy informed a confused Nick that their plan had failed, Dee Dee hated him. Which left only one course of action open to them, Dee Dee had to go.

​Gypsy is asked at Nick's 2018 trial, "After this meeting at the movies did you ask him to kill your mother?" Gypsy answers, "Yes".
In response to the question, "Did you ask him, 'Would you kill my mother for me?'. Gypsy replies, "I probably did, yes Sir". 
​There was no 'probably' about it.
Even when Dee Dee may have been accepting of Gypsy's choice of partner, Gypsy still wanted her dead.
Because Nick wasn't Gypsy's partner of choice.
Dan was. 

In April 2015, a burglary was reported at Dee Dee's house, which left Dee Dee, "nervous ever since".
We don't know the exact date the burglary took place as the event is only touched on briefly in a post murder police supplemental report, which reveals, "Linda Young, the mother of the next door neighbour walked over to talk to us after we'd been on scene for a while. She stated that her daughter had formally had a key to the Blanchard(e) home, but had given it back, maybe 6 months ago. Her daughter had some mental disabilities but is high functioning and lives alone. Linda stated there was some sort of trouble at the Blanchard(e) residence with certain people in the neighbourhood that her daughter had been implicated in because she had a key which is what prompted her to return it. Linda did not want to tell me who the certain people were but implied that they continued to cause issues".
According to a Web Sleuths post dated June 15th 2015, "Over $1000 cash plus prescription meds were stolen" during the break-in, which they record as taking place a month before.
We've yet to discover who the 'certain people' Dee Dee was having trouble with were, but we're guessing the name of the person who stole the cash and medication likely started with a G and ended in a Y. And we'd hazard a guess that both things possibly ended up in the hands of Dan Glidewell.

The period leading up to the end of Dee Dee's life sounds like a living nightmare.
Not for Gypsy.
​For Dee Dee.

​(Excerpts below) In her December, 2024, fabricated 'memoir', Gypsy seems to completely overlook the 'slapping' incident she reported in 2018 following her exit from the bathroom at the cinema; "She (Dee Dee) took me to the bathroom and she slapped me". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018). Instead, we now find Dee Dee just exiting the building, surprisingly leaving Gypsy momentarily in the clutches of 'weird', 'creepy' Nick. Gypsy follows this up with a never heard before repercussion, claiming that she was taken home and locked in a shed overnight; a shed Gypsy claims was painted pink and had a dirt floor. The shed Gypsy is likely talking about is a play shed Dee Dee was gifted for Gypsy. It was blue. It was always blue. Never pink. Always blue. And it was carpeted. There was no 'dirt floor'. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and script a fabricated story).

At Nick's trial in 2018, Gypsy is asked, "At some point you decided to kill your mother is that correct?"
(Gypsy) "Yes sir".
Gypsy is then asked, "When?"
(Gypsy) "About a year before it happened".
When Gypsy is confronted with, "Who's idea was it?" she answers, without hesitation, "Mine".
When Gypsy is asked, "Why?" Gypsy answers, "Because I wanted to be free of her hold on me".
That is not the answer you would expect any victim of physical, parental abuse to give. It's all about escaping the abuse, not the 'hold'.
Gypsy is asked, "Who initially brought it up?"
(Gypsy) "I did".
"Who talked who into killing your mother?"
(Gypsy) "I did. I talked him (Nick) into it".
That's a first degree murder charge right there.

In a 2017 interview, Gypsy recalls the process of deciding to kill Dee Dee as an indirect idea formulated between herself and Nick, which then led to the development of a plan. She says, “It really didn’t come up like, ‘I want you to kill her’. But he had said, ‘I’ll protect you from anybody'. And I said, ‘Anybody?’ And he said, ‘Yeah’. And I said, ‘Even my mum?’ And he said, ‘Yeah’. And that’s where it kind of developed from there on, We’d call it, ‘Plan B’. But we always pushed it back. You know, it was just a thought. It was never reality. We’ll consider other options”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017). 
I​n a 2018 interview, Gypsy reiterates this sense of it being a joint decision, “Me and Nick were talking one night and he said he would do anything to protect me, and I asked him, 'Anything?' And he said, 'Yeah'. 'From anybody?' And he said, 'Yeah'. 'Even my mum?' He said, 'Yes'. And that’s when this plan started to develop of a murder plot". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
But that's not what Gypsy said at Nick's 2018 trial, sworn under oath -  "Who's idea was it?" - "Mine". "Who initially brought it up?"  - "I did". "Who talked who into killing your mother?" - "I did. I talked him (Nick) into it".
Despite what Gypsy had sworn at Nick's trial, a year later she reverts back to fabrication, claiming, "He (Nick) had me talk to Victor, who was initially the one that was going to do the murder. And he was, 'Ask Victor. Please'. And I said, 'Victor, will you please come kill my mother for me because I can't do it myself' ". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2018).

In a 2018 news report, Nick says, "“All the planning she did, every bit of it. She pretty much willed the knife in my hand to commit the deed herself. She is the mastermind behind the entire thing." (ABC News Report, January 4th, 2018).

Gypsy admits that a range of different methods were considered to kill Dee Dee, confessing, “I felt, how else am I going to escape? It seemed like taking her out of the equation completely was the only option. We started looking at some different poisons. We went looking at arson, pretended a candle fell in the bedroom and caught fire. And we went looking at a gun, but then I finally told him (Nick), 'I cant kill her. I don't have it in me to kill her'. And he said, 'Well, you know, if you cant kill her, who’s gonna do it? And I said, could you?" (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
In his police interview, Nick says that Gypsy researched multiple times which method to use to kill Dee Dee. 
And there were so many other options, with 'walk right out the door' being the most blatantly obvious.

In 2019, Dr Phil asks Gypsy, "Who decided how to kill her?"
(Gypsy) "My boyfriend at the time, Nick".
"He decided that it would be a stabbing?"
(Gypsy) "Yes sir. He decided what weapon. He decided how many times."
"And you went along with it?"
(Gypsy) "Yes sir". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019). 
Or did Gypsy's instructional video she sent Nick of how to kill Dee Dee, showing her making 4 stabbing motions, determine how many times? 

Gypsy says they settled on stabbing Dee Dee because Nick said he was good with knives. 
"I said I wanted it to be painless", says Gypsy, "I didn't want her to suffer, because she's still my mother". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
And stabbing was the least painful option?
​There can be nothing painless about being stabbed full stop, let alone being stabbed in the back 17 times and having the back of your neck sliced open, twice. It sounds more like Gypsy wanted Dee Dee to suffer. 

In Nick's 2015 police interview Nick says, "I was truly shocked. She said if you truly love me, you'd be willing to do this for me because, you know, this is the only way we can be together and at some point I ended up giving in, because I didn't know what else to do . There's nothing I wouldn't do for her. There's truly nothing that I wouldn't do". (Nick's Police Interview, 2015).
And boy, oh boy, oh boy, didn't Gypsy Rose Blanchard know it.

Nick remembers the idea to kill Dee Dee slightly differently from Gypsy, “She first asked me, 'How badly do you want to be with me? I told her, 'I'll do anything to be there, you know that'. And she said, 'As long as my mum’s alive I can't be with you'. She made that very clear. I was like, 'Are you serious? (tone of almost disbelief). This is not anything to joke around about'. And she said. 'This is the only way we can be together'. So I'm pretty much stuck on this situation. And I just went along with it. I was really shocked. She said, 'If you truly love me, you'd be willing to do this for me, because, you know, this is the only way we can be together'. And at some point, I ended up giving in because I didn't know what else to do. There's nothing I wouldn't do for her. There's truly nothing I wouldn't do. I was just excited to be with her for the rest of my life, and I believed that's what she wanted”. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Nick says he was encouraging Gypsy to run away, "I was trying to influence her (Gypsy) to go with, but she never went with it, she never wanted to run away, so I couldn't get that to work." (Nick's Prison Interview, 2015).

​Nick was genuinely exploring ways of not killing Dee Dee, but Gypsy was having none of it.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard wanted Dee Dee dead.
​Dead.
​And she had the man for the job eating out of the palm of her hand.

Gypsy admits in a Dr Phil interview that she did ask Nick to kill Dee Dee, however, she adds, "But I didn't put a gun to his head". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
True. Just a knife in his hands and a belief in his heart that there was no other way of saving the girl he was totally in love with from the torment and abuse she was told him she was suffering.
​And declarations to Nick of sex on tap.

Gypsy describes Nick to Dr Phil as, "I think he used me to have his own means. He was a lonely person. Not a lot of friends. Girls would never look at him, so I was the only one who would never tell him no. I would always agree to everything he said and do it with a smile. And I think he saw that in me". (Mother Knows Best, 2007).
Gypsy tells Dr Phil that Nick deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison, suggesting, Nick, "Used me". (Mother Knows Best, 2007). 
Gypsy had thoughts of murdering Dee Dee long before Nick came on the scene. Who was using who?

​In a 2018 news report, Gypsy said of Nick, “I don't hate him. I feel sorry for him, and just that somebody could do something so heartless and not express remorse and not feel like he's responsible for it.” (ABC News Report, Jennifer Smith, Joseph Diaz, Alexa Valiente, January 4th, 2018).
In the same news report, Nick claimed that once he was incarcerated, he prayed for forgiveness from Gypsy’s mother. Nick said, “I did what I did because I loved her (Gypsy). I really wanted a life with her, I really did,” (ABC News Report, Jennifer Smith, Joseph Diaz, Alexa Valiente, January 4th, 2018).
Nick has always accepted responsibility for his role in Dee Dee's murder. It's Gypsy who doesn't consider herself to be a murderer.

Nick and Gypsy exchanged a series of messages in the weeks leading up to Dee Dee's murder. 
These are just a handful of the sexually driven messages Gypsy sent Nick weeks before Dee Dee was killed -

The bus Gypsy is referring to, is the greyhound bus they plan to escape on after Dee Dee's murder.

In the early hours of the 10th June, 2015, just hours before Dee Dee's murder, Gypsy lets Nick know that Dee Dee has taken her sleeping tablet, advising him, (1.08am) Gypsy - 'it's getting close to the time'. 4 minutes later, Gypsy messages Nick, (1.12am) 'I just wanna say this thank u .. your my hero <3 and I will NEVER leave u I'm staying with u for eternity'.
(Gypsy) "I would always agree to everything he said and do it with a smile. And I think he saw that in me". (Mother Knows Best, 2007).

On the 22nd April 2015, Nick exchanges a series of Facebook messages with a girl called Laura.
We are assuming Laura is a woman Nick once had an online relationship with.

​(6.25) Nick - 'Ya like I Said I’m Different and actually u didn’t see a side of me that the Woman I am with now knows about and it still didn’t scare her off it’s called truelove Laura'

Good grief. Nick may as well have been talking to a brick wall.
'I won’t tell u what I’ll have to do', 'I can’t share it', 'someone else’s life is on the line and that is all i can say', ' I can’t say anymore', 'it must stay between me and her I guess it has to', 'i can’t open up about My Situation even if I wanted to'.
Nick blatantly wants to talk to Laura about the plan to kill Dee Dee, but he would have had more luck discussing it with himself because Laura is barely listening to a word he says.
If this was a cry for help, it fell on deaf ears.

"I'll do it if it means keeping her".  "I will have to do the unthinkable just to keep me and her Safe".  

​Dee Dee would be dead 7 weeks later.

On March 29th 2015, Nick divulges to someone during a Skype chat, "Gypsy went on a mother's type Group on Facebook and talked about our story on what we planned on doing, you see me and her are planning on having a Baby next Year as a way to stay together so her mum has no choice but to let us be together. But u see I saw comments on her post bad Mouthing me and she just took it like  "Wow. Ok I'm a wait" and it had to do with finding someone better than me". 
Poor Nick.
There was only way Gypsy viewed Nick as being good enough, and it wasn't as the potential father of her child.

​In May 2015, following their sexual encounter in the men's disabled toilet, Gypsy tells Nick she is pregnant with his child.
It has been claimed that Gypsy told Nick she was having a baby girl, knowing full that one of Nick's biggest dreams was to have a daughter.
Nick, trusting of everything Gypsy ever told him, wouldn't have questioned how she would have known the sex of the baby, or how he had gotten Gypsy pregnant considering he had worn a condom and had failed to complete the 'task'.
He wouldn't have asked, 'Who's baby is it, 'cause it sure as hell aint mine?' 
The use of a condom had come about when Nick's mum, Stephanie, had been told about a Facebook post a friend of hers had seen in which Gypsy informed all her 'friends' that her and Nick were trying for a baby.
Stephanie had been mortified, and had spoken to Nick who had promised her they'd delay their plan.
Gypsy would later speak to a prison inmate about Nick's hope to father a daughter one day, but not in the context of ever having told Nick she was pregnant, but to allege that Nick wanted to have a daughter so that he could rape his female child.
An official court document, released in 2025, reveals it was in fact Gypsy who tells Nick that their future daughter "had to lose her virginity to Nicholas".

It is claimed that having told Nick she was with child, Gypsy then informed Nick that she had a miscarriage, and that - surprise, surprise - it was all Dee Dee's fault, because Dee Dee had forced her to have her feeding tube changed, leading to the loss of the baby.
A child Nick couldn't have possibly fathered.
A child that never existed.
Gypsy's medical records do not report her ever having had a miscarriage.
Gypsy's medical records do not report that Gypsy had her feeding tube changed in April or May of 2015.

When Gypsy was asked at Nick's 2018 trial, "Did you do anything to prepare for having children with Nick?" Gypsy answered, "Yes. I stole baby clothes and things for a child". Gypsy is then asked, "Were you not worried about your mother?" Gypsy responded, "She would have been in a different aisle or a different section of the store".
Just as Dee Dee would have been down a different aisle when Gypsy stole a stash of craft supplies from the Hobby Lobby store in February 2012.

Dee Dee's home was a hoarder's dream with piles of things she had gathered over the years strewn across her house, but she  seemingly didn't notice one book in particular openly displayed in a cupboard, as if recently accessed,  'A World Of Babies Names'. It's not a book 48 year old Dee Dee would have been reading.
Gypsy wasn't hiding things from Dee Dee.
She was openly flaunting her defiance.

On 2nd October 2024, NPG: Cornerstone Nation a group who work with and support Nicholas Godejohn, released a never seen before video which they allege Gypsy sent to Nick after their cinema date, revealing a follow up 'get pregnant' plan Gypsy put in place, which explains Nick's text message to Gypsy on 30th May 2015, 'So you want me to get you pregnant again?'
In the video, we can hear Gypsy instructing Nick as to, "Where we should do this".
Gypsy offers two potential spots, a large green shed located behind her house, referred to as, 'the greenhouse', or in a neighbour's yard.
Gypsy claims both places would offer them the privacy to, "Do what we need to do", whilst also being far enough away from her house to prevent Dee Dee from finding her should she come a'looking.

NPG: Cornerstone claim the event was planned for the evening of the 9th June 2015 - (Gypsy) "That would be good, and nice and dark" - or in the early hours of the 10th June 2015. 
The suggestion is, that there was another plan in place for the night Dee Dee was murdered. A plan to get Gypsy pregnant. 

In the video, Dee Dee's absence from the home is noted as her car is not in the driveway.
But didn't Gypsy say that Dee Dee smothered and controlled her, and never left her alone?

​The plan seemed to be for Nick to travel down to Gypsy's house, impregnate her in the romantic setting of an rusty old shed or amongst the "foliage" of a neighbour's yard, and leave.
There's no date stamp shown on the video so no evidence is provided as to when the video was actually made.
There's a suggestion that Gypsy made the video on foot, substantiating claims that neighbours witnessed Gypsy walking freely around the neighbourhood, but we're more on the side of Gypsy was in her motorised wheelchair, as you can hear a distinct whirring sound as Gypsy travels up the ramp to the house.
The plan was never executed.
​Instead, Dee Dee was.

​(Extracts below) In December, 2024, Gypsy admitted to this plan in her dreadful 'memoir'. We have zero doubt that this was only done to counteract the damage caused to her credibility after the release of the video. Even so, Gypsy still doesn't own the plan as her own, opting instead to claim that it was an idea that popped into her head during a 'brainstorming' session with Nick.
Gypsy also claims in the rag/book that Dee Dee wouldn't allow her to use her motorised wheelchair. Funny then that it was so conveniently fully charged and ready to go to use during the making of the video. (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and describe murdering my mother as a 'mistake'). 

Newly released court documents (2025) reveal that quite a few things were happening on the day Gypsy sent Nick the the instructional 'How To Murder Dee Dee' video, the 22nd May 2015.
Court documents show that Gypsy also took 5 photographs of the interior of Dee Dee's bedroom on that day, including photos of Dee Dee sleeping. (Source: Into The Weeds Podcast).
Gypsy stated in 2018, that she was too afraid to reach out to anybody for help, “I beat myself up about that all the time, but I have to understand my mind frame back then. I was always so afraid of her. Afraid of the consequences after”. (ABC News Report, January 4th, 2018).
But not too afraid to sneak into Dee Dee's bedroom when she was asleep and photograph her.

Court documents received by Hello Starlight in 2025 following a FOIA request, further reveal that Gypsy sent Nick photos of herself holding the knife she stole; the knife that was used to murder Dee Dee.
These documents also reveal that Gypsy was 'packed and ready to go' on 22nd May 2015; (Gypsy to Nick) "I'm pretty much packed, clothes, personal information, papers, trinkets. Yep, I'm all ready".
Nicholas Godejohn was partly convicted of first degree murder because he admitted that just before entering Dee Dee's bedroom he, "waited at least a minute and thought about if I really wanted to do it ..." which showed premeditation.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard was 'packed and ready to go' on 22nd May 2015.
Is that not a sign of premeditation?

On 2nd June 2015, 'packed and ready to leave' Gypsy uploaded a series of photos to her secret 'Emma Rose' Facebook profile - "My Anastasia Cosplay pics".
'Anastasia' is the female protagonist in the 2011 erotic romance novel, 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'.
It doesn't sound like the kind of reading material Dee Dee would have encouraged Gypsy to read, so where did Gypsy get a copy of the novel from?
Was that something else Gypsy stole whilst out shopping with Dee Dee?

We learn from court documents released in 2025, that on 2nd June, 2015 - just over a week before Dee Dee is murdered - Nick threatened to kill himself.
Nick's defence team claim that Gypsy was making suicide threats as early as May 2013 and that Nick's threat of suicide mimicked behaviour learned from Gypsy.
Text messages between Nick and Gypsy from 2nd June 2015 seen here offer some context as to what lay behind the Nick's threat.

On June 3rd 2015, Dee Dee received her regular (final) monthly order from the local cupcake shop, as reported by the owner of the shop; a dozen buckeyes, pineapple balls and 'dance in the sunshine' cupcakes.

One of Gypsy's last public appearances before Dee Dee's murder was on Friday 5th June, 2015 at Dickerson zoo, Springfield where 'packed and ready to go' 'VIP Child', Gypsy is somewhat ironically pictured outside a building housing snakes and amphibians.

Following 23 year old Gypsy's outing to the zoo she messaged Nick later that evening for his opinion about an item she planned to take with her following Dee Dee's murder - Friday 5th June, 2015 (9.50pm) Gypsy - 'Darling what color restraints do u want? Black or pink?' (9.52pm) Nick - 'Dear we’re collecting em. But get Black Sweetie'. <3 (9.56pm) Gypsy - 'Ok Darling'.
Dee Dee was likely dozing, exhausted, when these messages were being exchanged.

A receipt shown in crime scene photos reveals that either on the way to, or on the way back from the zoo, a dozen original glazed Kripsy Kreme doughnuts were purchased at 3.46pm.

In a Facebook post dated 17th June 2015, a friend of the lady photographed with Gypsy at the zoo (as seen below) said she had told her that Dee Dee said she had been robbed the night before of money she had been saving to send Gypsy to camp Barnabas, an organisation that offers camping experiences for people with disabilities.
The author suggests that this was likely a scam on Dee Dee's part to garner sympathy and money, but Gypsy was stealing money from Dee Dee left, right and centre by this point, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Dee Dee was telling the truth.
We wonder what Dee Dee wept most over.
The loss of the money.
