the 9th or the 10th? - we didn't really start questioning this until we took a deep dive into the role bdsm may have played in the murder of dee dee blanchard
                                                          2005 - 2009
Our website is updated on a daily basis. We're regularly working on new leads as well as deep diving information we already have, so information may change as more truths are uncovered. We've only scratched the surface of this case, there's still so much more to discover.

Excerpts from Gypsy Rose Blanchard's 2024, 'memoir', 'My Time To Stand', are  interspersed throughout the website, to illustrate and reinforce that a false narrative continues to be promoted.
"Because Dee Dee is dead, it’s impossible to diagnose her" (Michelle Dean, 2016)

"Mommy Dead And Dearest' (2017) proclaims, "According to medical records, Dee Dee brought Gypsy to local hospitals over 100 times between 2005 and 2014”.
Because we can trust everything 'Mommy Dead And Dearest' tells us, right?
Gypsy somewhat coincidentally also applies '100' to the number of doctors she claims to have seen, "I've probably seen over a 100 doctors in my life". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
The use of the number '100' is used to sell the idea that Dee Dee had Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy, because in reality, given that Gypsy was actually sick, it really serves no other value.
Perhaps Erin Lee Carter and Gypsy would like to share the set of medical records they studied; the ones we have access to suggest much lower numbers.

ABC News reveals, "Medical records reviewed by ABC News show that Gypsy was treated by at least 150 different doctors through the years". (ABC News Report, January 4th, 2018).
Not a single doctor who ever saw Gypsy over a period of 23 years ever recorded that Gypsy's visit was unnecessary.
Not a single doctor who ever saw Gypsy over a period of 23 years ever recorded that a surgery or a medical procedure she had done was unnecessary.
Same question to ABC news.

Dr Phil tells Gypsy that Dee Dee was, "Dicing you up, girl". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
Dr Phil continues, "You got cut open. You got parts taken out of you. You got hacked up. You got poisoned. You got, your childhood was stolen from you. Your adolescence was stolen from you. Your teen years were stolen from you".
Even Gypsy, who nodded throughout, looked visibly uneasy with Dr Phil's over the top allegations, but still responded, "I know". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
Dr Phil was seriously riding the Gypsy train back in 2017.
The only years stolen in this case belong to the victim, Dee Dee Blanchard, whose life was brutally cut short at 48 years of age.

When Dr Phil asks Gypsy how many surgeries she had, Gypsy responds, "So many, um, I think 30, more, because I had multiple eye muscle surgeries, multiple leg surgeries, multiple throat surgeries". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
Gypsy never underwent a single leg surgery, not one, ever, and Gypsy had one surgery to have her bilateral
submandibular glands removed.
Gypsy had one single thigh biopsy which ultimately opened the door to diagnosing, addressing and treating her chromosome disorder, and Gypsy's Botox treatment involved a series of injections, not invasive surgery.

Dr Phil doesn't stop there, telling Gypsy, "You were terribly victimised. You were tortured as a child, year after year after year". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
And Gypsy was lying to Dr Phil time and time again.

Gypsy would have visited a number of hospitals and seen a number of doctors over a 9 year period, as anyone with the number of health issues Gypsy had would have, but most of those visits were to emergency departments, and/or for routine or follow up doctors appointments.
The overwhelming majority of Gypsy's medical procedures were eye and dental surgeries.
Those aside, Gypsy only had a small number of other medically necessary invasive procedures.
A very small number.
In the first half of 2005 alone, Dee Dee takes Gypsy to hospital emergency departments numerous times, for a variety of reasons, ranging from asthma/allergy complaints and upper respiratory problems to chronic coughs and sore throats.
On 20th April 2005, Dee Dee and Gypsy attended ER. The chief complaint was, 'Constant coughing'.
It's just as well Dee Dee attended; Gypsy was diagnosed with, a URI (Upper respiratory infection), pneumonia, hypokalemia (Low potassium level) and dehydration.

Dee Dee may have forged a couple of cheques in the past, and, God forbid, owned '3 or 4 books about witchcraft' when she was a teenager, but we doubt she could rustle up a lung infection.

In 2017, Gypsy describes Dee Dee as, "overprotective”. (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Yes, Dee Dee Blanchard was overprotective and it's just as well she was, pneumonia left untreated can prove fatal.

Awesome work, Dee Dee.

Mommy Dead And Dearest premiered on 16th May, 2017.
Dr Phil's Prison Interview premiered in November, 2017.
2017 was also a busy year for our lil' old Gypsy.
Whilst incarcerated, basking in the glory of fooling (almost) an entire nation, Gypsy was also engaging in writing to various men she calls, 'pen pals'.
She would later readily boast, to having over 200 'pen pals'.
Two of these letters (seen below), dated 5th May, 2017, which Gypsy wrote to a fellow incarcerated felon, recently appeared for sale on Ebay (February, 2024).
Read them.
'Pen Pals'?
Gypsy wasn't interested in receiving therapy whilst imprisoned; Gypsy was far too busy grifting for a boyfriend.

This. This. This is Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
(Source: Toddie1skip).
Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana on 23rd August 2005, claiming almost 2,000 lives and displacing thousands of people, Dee Dee and Gypsy included.
It has been said that Dee Dee was not a victim of Katrina, that she played a victim as a rouse to get her and Gypsy out of Louisiana, away from prying eyes and regular doctors, but at the time the disaster happened, Dee Dee and Gypsy were residing in Slidell, an area badly impacted by the hurricane.
Rod stresses in his appearance on Dr Phil, that Dee Dee and Gypsy's house was devastated by the disaster. (Mother Knows Best, 2017), but he also implies in a different interview that Dee Dee and Gypsy weren't displaced by Katrina.

What is one to do with Rod Blanchard?
We struggle to believe that rather than simply go through the normal process of relocating to another state if that was what Dee Dee wanted, she instead faked the Katrina route.

Years later when Dee Dee and Gypsy were living in Missouri, Dee Dee would kindly offer to house Rod and his family following a Louisiana hurricane warning. There is nothing to suggest Rod reached out to Dee Dee and his sick daughter, Gypsy, in their time of need, and extended a similar invitation following Katrina.
Gypsy tells us that when the hurricane hit, "She (Dee Dee) blindfolded me, but I looked, and I still have nightmares of what I saw". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
What a predictable choice of a word, blindfolded.
We're thinking Dee Dee covered Gypsy's eyes with her hand as opposed to tying a pillowcase over her head.

Dee Dee and Gypsy left Slidell as soon as the evacuation was ordered, and made the congested, 4-5 hour road trip to the Louisiana Superdome, which offered a temporary refuge for up to ten thousand evacuees, although it was estimated it housed around 15,000.
It has been suggested that it is here that Gypsy's 'cancer' story' starts, that Dee Dee cashes in on the word, 'cancer', to gain freedom from the awful conditions inside the Superdome.
Possibly.
We have access to Gypsy's medical records as of May 2000, which notate - as reported by Dee Dee - that Gypsy contracted leukemia when she was 5 years old.
It is referenced as, 'acute lymphocytic leukemia' and 'leukemia'.
In a 2015 crime scene photo, we can see leukemia notated in a document as, 'Faltemans anemia', a condition which doesn't exist, which, at a long stretch, could be a mispronounced reference to Fanconi anemia.

A 2007 medical record, states, 'Remission 10 years', which means Gypsy may still have been in remission when Katrina hit.
However, from what we can see, all references to leukemia are notated in the 2007 medical records only.
Without access to Gypsy's medical records pre. May 2000 - which were likely destroyed during Katrina - we are unable to prove or disprove Dee Dee's claim, but we accept that it is strange that we cannot find it referenced before 2007.

An NBC news report aired on 15th September 2015, describes what it was like staying at the Superdome following Katrina, "We now know, the Superdome was anything but a safe haven. Thousands of desperate people trapped there in the days after the hurricane with little food, water, no electricity, no air conditioning, reports of violence, even rape, at the city's largest shelter". (NBC, 2015).
Just as the Superdome was a 'shelter of last resort', Gypsy's 'cancer' may have been a last resort to escape the last resort, but it has been claimed that it wasn't Dee Dee who announced Gypsy's 'cancer' to the world, it was 14 year old Gypsy, who allegedly told a news reporter inside the Superdome that
she had both cancer and leukaemia, and was in desperate need of chemotherapy. (Source: The Good Wives' Network).
To date, we have not managed to locate that news report.
Gypsy later says, "Honestly, I didn't really know what cancer was, but I was going through so many medications and surgeries that I didn't question it". (The Prison Confessions, 2024).
A 14 year old teenager, would have had, and would have asked, a lot of questions if they were told they had cancer.

A Dr Janet Gordon, who flew out to Louisiana from Missouri in the aftermath of Katrina on a mission trip, came across Dee Dee and Gypsy at the Superdome. After speaking to them, the wheels were set in motion to get them out of the Superdome and housed as soon as possible.
The wheels must have got moving pretty quickly as they are soon relocated to a special needs shelter in Northern New Orleans.

Rod and Kristy Blanchard claim they tried to find displaced Dee Dee and Gypsy, as reported by Kristy, "Looked for 'em. Trying to find 'em. Because we didn't know where they were". (20/20, Gypsy Rose: The Next Act, 2024).
But not as in 'physically' attempted to find them, rather, they watched TV news reports, in the hope of spotting Dee Dee and Gypsy in a crowd of up to 15,000 displaced people.
From the comfort of their own home.
That sounds about right.
Fair enough, conditions weren't great, but people did attend the Superdome searching for their missing loved ones.
Maybe it was a case of, not missed and not loved.

A photo of a naked Gypsy sitting in a sink with a shaved head is taken at the New Orleans shelter.
It's a truly disturbing image.
Not only because Gypsy is naked and rammed into a kitchen-sized sink.
Not only because her head is shaved.
But because 14 year old Gypsy is smiling and appears happy.
It's not a situation or a look you'd expect a 14 year old girl, to appear comfortable in, let alone agree to participate in.

If you saw the photo of your daughter shown below, posted on social media, sitting in a sink like that, and you hadn't had physical contact with her for 11 years, what would you do?
We don't know if the photo was posted, but we're thinking, if it was, in Rod Blanchard's case, nothing.
Mercy children's hospital in Kansas arranged for Dee Dee and Gypsy to be airlifted out of Louisiana by Angel Flight, a non-profit organisation providing free air transportation for people in need of medical care, or people who are financially distressed, or in a time-critical, non-emergency situation due to their medical condition.
Dee Dee and Gypsy would continue to use Angel Flight for Gypsy's future medical evaluations and treatments, and for trips to attend conventions.

Dee Dee and Gypsy leave the shelter and transfer to Hope Lodge for a 2 month stay.
Hope Lodge is a 46 roomed facility offering free housing and meals to cancer patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, or who are receiving treatment for cancer, or who are receiving treatment whilst in remission from cancer, and their carers. (Source:
The Good Wives' Network).
Hope Lodge does not provide cancer treatment.

Patients are only offered a place at Hope Lodge following a referral from, normally, a doctor.
It is Gypsy's dentist, a cancer specialising dentist, who provides a referral for Gypsy, confirming to Hope Lodge that Gypsy is having suspected cancer-related treatment, which Hope Lodge accept as proof of need, which, if untrue, is a staggering referral.
Once at Hope Lodge, Dee Dee advises staff that Gypsy doesn't require cancer treatment as she is in remission, which does align with what is recorded in Gypsy's medical records. (Source:
The Good Wives' Network).
The fact that Dee Dee and Gypsy are transferred to Hope Lodge speaks for itself.
Gypsy's alleged leukemia/cancer/remission must have been made known.

Did Dee Dee or Gypsy, or both, fake cancer as a passport out of the Superdome?
Without access to Gypsy's earlier medical records, we cannot say for sure, but without question, medical conditions were the key to fast tracking them out.
Prioritised for evacuation.
Airlifted out.
Free accommodation.
Free meals.
Free helicopter rides.
Dee Dee, on her own with a genuinely sick daughter to take care of, homeless, with no support and just the clothes on her back, couldn't have failed to notice the 'benefits' to having a sick child.
But make no mistake, Gypsy would have noticed too.
And boy, does the grifting start to kick in once they leave Louisiana.

A news report seen below, dated 19th September, 2005, records Gypsy's age as 12.
'The special one'.

A second news report, published in 2005 in the St. John's hospital magazine, 'Healthy People', records Gypsy's age correctly, 14.

In October 2005 the Saint John's hospital team move Dee Dee and Gypsy into a house the hospital owns in Aurora, Missouri, furnished with local donations.
A KY3 news report films the moving in day, interviewing both Dee Dee and Gypsy. (The video can be seen below).
Dee Dee describes the move as, "A blessing in disguise. It took something like a hurricane to make us have a happy ending".
It quite possibly took the word, 'cancer'.
Gypsy, sat in her wheelchair, gushes, "It is the perfect town, the perfect place ... It's beautiful. And it's happy. And it's full of love".
Dee Dee says, "They couldn't drag me back to Louisiana kicking and screaming. I'm here to stay. We're home".

At the end of the video Dee Dee is shown being handed the keys to the house, before being told, "Here's the keys to the car that was donated".
Gypsy looks 10 years old in this video.
She was 14 years old and counting.

Dee Dee was in desperate need of a home and personal effects for Gypsy following hurricane Katrina, as were thousands of other people.
Dee Dee also needed access to doctors and hospitals for Gypsy's health conditions, as did thousands of other people.
Did Dee Dee go about things the right way to get her daughter what she needed?
If it was based upon Gypsy's legitimate health conditions, yes.
If Dee Dee and/or Gypsy knowingly threw cancer into the mix in order to deceive or to receive benefits/services they weren't entitled to, absolutely not.
But that's not a definition of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy.
It's a definition of medical fraud.

Following her arrest in 2015, Gypsy was interviewed by Detective Stan Hancock. Towards the end of the interview, it began to dawn on 23 year old Gypsy that Detective Hancock had seen through the multiple lies she had told him.
Gypsy was in trouble and she knew it.
And Gypsy's response? “
Please I’m not able to be in jail. I have a lot of medical needs.” (Gypsy's Police Interview, 2015).
The possibility of Gypsy faking, 'Please I need to get out of the Superdome. I have leukemia and cancer' is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Once Dee Dee and Gypsy were settled into their home, Dee Dee would record a video of a super happy Gypsy hurling herself off a railing outside the rent-free house into the snow covered ground below, adjusting her legs as she lands, mimicking paralysis of her legs.
In the video, seen below right, Gypsy sure doesn't look like someone forced to play disabled.
Gypsy looks more like someone who's done their research into how to appear disabled.

In Gypsy's 2024 'memoir', the crock of sh*t that she apparently didn't write, or, for certain, fact check, Gypsy states - "My mother never let me outside. There was never a moment through the day when Mama would ever say, "Let's get outside and get some sun on our face. Never". (Source: 'My Time To Stand' and fill trusting heads with blatant untruths).
Oh really?
Really?
Sun. Face.

Gypsy's primary care giver in Louisiana, Dr Beckerman, was also practicing in Missouri in 2005 when Dee Dee and Gypsy arrived there, and would continue to treat Gypsy as his patient in Missouri.
Dr Beckerman wrote a 2009 news article about Dee Dee and Gypsy in, 'Treasures', a Mercy Children's hospital publication, describing them as his, 'favourite mother-daughter patients'. (As seen below).
It has been claimed that Dee Dee and Gypsy would spend time with Dr  Beckerman outside of his professional capacity, even having dinner at his home.
This behaviour
has led to speculation about a possible romantic link between Dr Beckerman and Dee Dee, but we don't buy into that, however, we have learnt that nothing in this case can be ruled out, until it is ruled out.
Some claim that Dr Beckerman is Gypsy's father and whilst we do acknowledge that Gypsy bears a resemblance to Dr. Beckerman, there is zero evidence to suggest he is her father.

When it comes to Gypsy's medical records, we can definitely see there's something off about Dr Beckerman.
Despite Dee Dee and Gypsy being his, 'favourite mother-daughter patients', Gypsy's age is incorrectly recorded in the majority of Dr Beckerman's records.
You would think that a doctor who had been treating Gypsy for most of her life would know how old she was.
It has been suggested that Dr Beckerman may have been party to Dee Dee's alleged fraud but whilst there's certainly something not quite right about him, we wouldn't go that far.
On the 26th September 2005, Dee Dee and Gypsy meet Dr Robert Steele, Gypsy's new primary care giver.
Dr Steele is another enigma.
Dr Steele uses every opportunity he can during his media appearances about the case to villainise Dee Dee.
In one he says that when he asked Dee Dee for Gypsy's medical records, Dee Dee said they had been lost in Katrina, a deadly category 5 hurricane, implying deception on Dee Dee's part.
Oh really?
If Dee Dee didn't want Dr Steele to have access to Gypsy's Louisiana medical records, we're pretty sure she wouldn't have signed her consent giving Dr Steele permission to request them.
And why did Dr Steele, on 4th April 2007, only request Gypsy's medical records from the previous 5 years?
Why didn't he request all of them?
Maybe because, as a doctor, he would have been aware that medical records were destroyed during Katrina.

In another media appearance, Dr Steele berates Dee Dee for Gypsy's 'unnecessary' feeding tube even though he was Gypsy's service provider when a feeding tube replacement was requested. And replaced.
This
is the same doctor who treated Gypsy for two years and never recorded any suspicion of medical or physical abuse in her medical records.
Yet Dr Steele popped up in the abysmal, "The Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard" to support the claim that Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy. (Fee paid unknown).
In a 2009 medical record, Dr Steele reports a marked improvement in Gypsy's epilepsy treatment, an improvement that would have been reported by Dee Dee; unusual behaviour for a mother trying to harm her child.
And why didn't Dr Steele let the media know that doctors were considering genetic testing for Gypsy in 2007?
Or that he received Gypsy's chromosome disorder diagnosis in 2013?

We're not sure what enticed Dr Steele out of the woodwork, but he would have done better to have stayed there.

In 2007, Dr Steele referred Gypsy to Dr Bernardo Flasterstein, a paediatric neurologist who treated children and young people with conditions relating to the brain and the nervous system.
Dr Flasterstein is yet another enigma.
Dr Flasterstein also reports that it's suspicious that Dee Dee doesn't have Gypsy's medical records, as if the idea of paperwork being destroyed in a hurricane is inconceivable.
What we find inconceivable is a doctor who claims not to have seen medical records he clearly did see.

Yup, you're up next Bernard.
Get ready to sit down.

In an 18th August 2006 edition of The 'Springfield News-Leader', 12 year old Gypsy is recorded as having entered a competition to create artwork for Dr Pepper vending machine covers; the ages of children mentioned in the article range from 6 to 12.
Gypsy was 15 years old.

On 21st August 2007, Dee Dee and Gypsy visit Dr Flasterstein for a neurological assessment.
Dr Flasterstein says of this meeting, "
Because there were no records to be obtained or requested I had to base, trust and rely on what the mother told me at the time". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Really?
(Also Dr Flasterstein) "I managed to talk to one of her (Gypsy) previous providers.
She specifically remembers 'GypsyRose', and mentioned that her previous neurologist clearly reported the fact that 'GypsyRose' does not have muscular dystrophy". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Oh really?

On 4th April 2007, Dee Dee signed an authorisation form consenting to Dr Steele's request for Gypsy's Louisiana medical records.
On 18th April 2007, a copy of Gypsy's biopsy report was faxed through to Dr Steele, along with other Louisiana records.
The record Dr Flasterstein claims he couldn't access would have been in Gypsy's medical file on 21st August 2007.

Dee Dee and Gypsy visit Dr Flasterstein again on November 6th 2007 to discuss the results of Dr Flasterstein's neurological assessment.

Dr Flasterstein states (on camera), "The volume of her (Gypsy) muscles were normal, they were well sized and her reflexes were normal, meaning that it kind of didn't make sense that she would not be able to walk. So she was referred to have an MRI of the spine to see if there could be anything that I'm missing, and it was completely normal. So I told mum, 'I don't see any reason why she shouldn't be able to stand up and walk'. She was mad. She said, 'That's not true, she cannot walk, that's the fact'. And said she's not coming back. When her reaction was not as expected, I said that I have a suspicion that this is not real, this is fabricated or exaggerated. That's when I said this is suspicious of Munchausen By Proxy. So my duty was to tell the paediatrician in my report". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
It is more suspicious that a doctor says there were no medical records to be requested or obtained, when they'd been requested and obtained.

Dr Flasterstein's test results disclose what Dr Flasterstein himself fails to disclose during his media appearance.
"While the muscle tone seems to be slightly decreased, the muscle mass seems normal".

Hypotonia is the medical term used for low muscle tone. It is usually detected at birth or during infancy and is sometimes called 'floppy muscle syndrome'. Symptoms of hypotonia include problems with mobility and posture, breathing and speech difficulties, ligament and joint laxity, and poor reflexes.
Hypotonia can be caused by neurological conditions such as, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy and Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease (Which Dee Dee said her mother had). It is a key feature of Gypsy's chromosome disorder.
Why didn't Dr Flasterstein report this finding during his appearance in Gypsy's Revenge?

"Her brain MRI, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spines were essentially normal. There was a very small syrinx in the mid and distal thoracic cord".
"Her brain MRI and spinal MRI are essentially normal. The above mentioned syrinx is minimal.

Essentially doesn't mean totally.
Minimal doesn't mean none at all.
Syringomyelia
is a condition in which a fluid-filled cyst called a syrinx forms within the spinal cord. The syrinx can grow larger over time, damaging the spinal cord causing pain, weakness and stiffness.
Why didn't Dr Flasterstein report this finding during his appearance in Gypsy's Revenge?

"She (Gypsy) had an EEG, which showed spike and wave on the right central temporal area" "Due to the above abnormal EEG, she is on Kepra 500mg".
Spike and wave on the right central temporal area is indicative of a seizure disorder, e.g, epilepsy.
Why didn't Dr Flasterstein report this finding during his appearance in Gypsy's Revenge?

Gypsy's full test results are not reported because they do not play into a suspicion of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy.
What is going on with these doctors?

Dr Flasterstein says he didn't report his concerns to the police or to Child Protection Services because, in his opinion, Gypsy wasn't being neglected, rather, she was being 'overtreated'.
So doctors don't have to report cases of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy?
Dr Flasterstein further claims he didn't report his concerns because he didn't think anybody would believe him, and that Dee Dee would persuade people it wasn't true.
Dee Dee must have been a truly astounding and remarkable orator.
Instead, Dr Flasterstein recorded his opinion in his notes for Gypsy's paediatrician, Dr Steele, saying, "My duty was to tell the paediatrician in my report". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Or, 'The suspicion was so sllght that I didn't want to make too big a deal of it, especially in light of the fact that Gypsy was actually in poor health'.
Dr Marc Feldman disagrees, "He (Dr Flasterstein) needed to pick up the phone and call child services. (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Well, Dr Marc Feldman, you should never have labelled a murder victim you had never met with Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy but there you go, life's not always fair.

On 1st September 2009, Dr Steele records in a medical report, "The mother tells me that Gypsy has 2 syrinx at levels C7 and C8 ... I have no imaging to confirm this.
Dr Flasterstein's 2007 neurological assessment findings included, "
There was a very small syrinx in the mid and distal thoracic cord".

Poor Dee Dee.
Even some of Gypsy's doctors threw her to the wolves.

During one of Gypsy's post prison appearances (Nick Viall 2014), Gypsy was asked, "Do you feel that there are people in the medical community that should be held accountable for what happened to you?"
Gypsy immediately responded, "Of course".
Gypsy went on to state that there was no report or follow up in any suspicions doctor may have had, "They didn't do anything about it".
Gypsy attributes this lack of action to 'money', suggesting that money played a big part in doctors not doing anything, accusing that her 'unnecessary medical care' put more money in health professional's pockets.
Gypsy, who gained her fortune from manipulating a mentally unwell man to kill her mother, says, "We live in a system that's very money hungry and selfish".
Gypsy then revealed, "My dad and step mom tried to look for an attorney that can take my case for a medical malpractice lawsuit, and I don't think anyone wants to touch it. I've not been able to find one. That's really surprising actually".
Gypsy then used this opportunity to give a shout out to anyone interested in pursuing a lawsuit, "I need some legal advice". (Source: The Viall Files, 8th January, 2024).
What a family of cockroaches.
There are no words.
Well, just a few.
A medical malpractice lawsuit linked to Gypsy Rose Blanchard would illicit public interest, which equals media interest, which equals more interviews, documentaries, magazine and newspaper articles, news reports and TMZ tip offs, which equals generating more income for all involved.
What Gypsy, the sociopathic narcissist, can't quite seem to grasp is, pursuing a medical malpractice lawsuit will likely uncover that all her medical procedures were medically necessary. That in turn would undeniably raise questions about her being a victim of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy, which in turn would bring into the spotlight Gypsy's plea deal which was based solely on that unsupported diagnosis.
No wonder nobody wants to touch it.
With an extremely large barge pole.
Although, fingers crossed, one day somebody will.

In Gypsy's 2017 prison interview with Dr Phil, Gypsy is asked, "Did you understand that you being sick was necessary to keep up what she (Dee Dee) built? Because you got a house from Habitat For Humanity, you got donations, you got different things from people for being sick. So that was a source of income for her right?"
Gypsy replies, "It was, yes. And I had no idea that I was a part of that". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
We politely beg to differ.
Dr Phil continues, "You didn't know that you were a cash cow?" Gypsy responds, "No". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
Much later in the interview, Gypsy, who obviously picked up on the benefits of a phrase she has never be known to use before, says, "She (Dee Dee) used me as a cash cow". (Mother Knows Best, 2017).
We forcefully beg to differ.
Dee Dee exploited and scammed a system.
It's not Dee Dee who used Gypsy as a 'cash cow'.
Wrong person.
Wrong people.
And how did Gypsy amass such an impressive personal fortune?
Off. Her. Dead. Mother's. Back.

Rod Blanchard recently engaged in a discussion on a live social media platform during which he agreed that it looks bad that Gypsy and his family are making money off of Dee Dee's death. Rod justified this, by way of saying people want to hear Gypsy's story.
(Rod) "Lifetime want to pay money for it".
And there you have it.
Money.
Rod also complained about the backlash Gypsy receives, stating that people talking trash about Gypsy doesn't bother him but, (Rod) "I'm hurt when somebody says something that's not true". (Source: @ivoryroseknows 7th August, 2024).
Welcome to our world Rod.
Welcome to our world.

On the 15th November 2018, Gypsy testified at Nick's trial. During her questioning Gypsy is asked, "Did you and your mother gain any kind of advantage by you being in a wheelchair?
Gypsy replies, "Yes Sir".
In response to being asked what kind of advantage they gained, Gypsy answered,  "Financial, attention, charity".
In response to being asked how be
ing in a wheelchair resulted in gaining those things, Gypsy responded, "Because people felt sorry for me".
When Gypsy is asked what is was that people would do, Gypsy says, "They believed the lie. They believed the
fraud".
In the summer of 2007, Dee Dee and Gypsy make make front page headlines again, this time in 'Wingspan', a quarterly news publication created by the Angel Flight organisation.
The headline reads, "Angel Flight passenger and Hurricane Katrina survivor must travel long distance for lifesaving care".
'12' year old Gypsy is presented as having both muscular dystrophy and Leukemia.
12 year old Gypsy was 15.
References to Gypsy's cancer/Leukemia are only notated in Gypsy's 2007 medical files.

In the article. Gypsy is reported as having been a guest speaker at, 'AFC Heroes of the Heart Celebration in May'.
In an article reporting on the 'AFC Heroes Of The Heart Celebration in May', 'guest speaker', Gypsy is recorded as being 13 years old.

On April 18th 2007, Gypsy's medical records record that she has been diagnosed with ASBD, which relates to a bowel condition of some kind.
The record shows that Gypsy has good control of the condition ('stool control').

We'll be touching on Gypsy's use of diapers a bit later on.

In May, 2007, almost 16 year old Gypsy was named 'Child Of The Year' by The Oley Foundation, a non-profit home nutrition therapy community and advocacy group whose mission is to enrich the lives of those living with home IV nutrition or tube feeding.
The foundation believed Gypsy was 12.
Gypsy and Dee Dee made a guest appearance on stage at the event in Cape Cod, Florida, where Gypsy sings, 'Angels Among Us', to a very large audience, whilst seated in her wheelchair. (Video seen below).
When Gypsy stops crooning, Dee Dee tells her, "I've always said you're the reason I was born. To be your mama".

Gypsy has since been removed from Oley Foundation's list of past recipients of the award.
On 14th September 2007, Gypsy gushes to a doctor during an eye appointment about how much she loved seeing the whales during her trip to Cape Cod.
That's right.
Gypsy, who claims she wasn't allowed to speak during doctor's appointments, spoke!

There is one medical procedure Gypsy hasn't really mentioned to date.
That time Dee Dee safeguarded her against skin cancer.
On the 10th May 2008, Gypsy visits Children's Mercy hospital, after concerns raised by Dee Dee are followed up by a referral from Dr Steele, for mole mapping.
Mole mapping is a process of monitoring moles and lesions in relation to melanoma.
Mole mapping only happens if a mole or moles are a cause for concern.
Gypsy attends several follow up hospital appointments until -
On the 20th December 2011, Gypsy undergoes a skin biopsy.
On the 27th December 2011, Gypsy attends the hospital to have her skin biopsy stitches removed.
On the 25th November 2013, Gypsy has photos taken of her moles for mole-mapping. No further appointments are recorded.
Well played, Dee Dee.

In Gypsy's 2024 short story, 'Conversations On The Eve Of Freedom' (there was nothing 'eve' about it), a drawing is included, sketched by Gypsy, of all her 'scars'; the ones she says she is so 'self conscious' about.
The suggestion is that Gypsy drew the picture for her then husband, (parole address) Ryan Anderson, who she left for another man within 3 months of being released from prison.
In the sketch, Gypsy references 4 'scars' relating to moles, which may link to the skin biopsy mentioned above.
Just a small observation, but the medical diagram differs from Gypsy's, but, regardless, what would Gypsy have preferred?
Skin cancer?
As to the intent of the sketch; In our opinion, it had more to do with gaining public sympathy than it did Ryan Anderson, given it was released just a few weeks before she gained her ill-deserved freedom.
For somebody who states she is self conscious about her 'scars', she sure has them on show a lot.
We meant hers scars, not her bazookas, but we can understand the confusion.

In July 2007, Dee Dee reached out to the 'Songs Of Love Foundation', a charitable organisation who provided personalised songs to children and young adults facing, "difficult medical challenges".
This led to the song, 'Gypsy Rose Blanchard', as heard in the video below.

In June 2015, the song writer reached out to Megan J Pack, who wrote a popular blog about the case in the immediate aftermath of Dee Dee's death, providing information Dee Dee included on her profile sheet relating to Gypsy's challenges.
According to the songwriter, Dee Dee's list of Gypsy's 'difficulties' were, paraplegia, muscular dystrophy, hearing impairment, epilepsy and vision impairment.
The songwriter stated to Megan J Pack, "The “Medicine of Music” is very powerful in the difficult lives of these kids. Having their own song boosts their self esteem and helps them get through painful and invasive medical procedures". (Source: M J Pack, original 2015 version of her Thought Catalogue blog).

The song could have been commissioned as a birthday gift for Dee Dee's, 'precious one'.
The songwriter reported to having no regrets about the project, stating that, Gypsy, "needed it more than we knew, and for reasons none of us ever dreamed about".

Golly gee!
The Gypsy train even managed to corrupt the thoughts of Third Floor John!
Although the song is God awful to hear, it stands as a living, breathing testament as to the love and devotion Dee Dee had for her only (POS) child.

On 26th October 2009, Dee Dee and Gypsy make it into the local newspaper again, during a Halloween trip to Dickerson zoo. (See news report below).
"Gypsy Rose, 12, also known as, 'Snow White'" appears to be having a whale of a time.
The event featured scary displays, including one from, 'Where The Wild Things Are'.
The 'Wild Thing' was in plain sight.
It went under the name, 'Snow White'.
And it was 18 years old.
In an 8th October 2007 medical record, it is notated that Gypsy is, "living in a shelter pending Habitat For Humanity Home built in Springfield, MO community".
In March 2008, the house is good to go, and Dee Dee and Gypsy move into their brand-spanking-new home, a home Dee Dee helped to build.

A 2008 TV news report, starring a very happy and excited Dee Dee and Gypsy, shows a team of first responders moving boxes and furniture into the disabled-adapted house at 2103 West Volunteer Way Springfield, Missouri, where Dee Dee would spend the remainder of her life.
A voice over on the news report records, “And it’s all for this family, Dee Dee Blanchard and her 12 year old daughter, Gypsy-Rose”.
The report continues, "With no home and Gypsy-Rose battling both muscular dystrophy and leukaemia, the St. John’s Aurora team went to work securing this rent-free home for the family and cleaning it up”.
Gypsy is shown saying, "I remember my mother gave me this little glass house and she said, 'One day this will be real', and now it finally is".
Gypsy adds, "It just proves that happy endings are not just in fairy tales, they're real".
Gypsy gushes, “We have an awesome bath tub, it’s a jacuzzi tub meant to help with my muscles and we have a wonderful ramp so I can get up and down by myself. The light switches, I can reach them now. I have wider doors so my chair can get through”. (Source. KY3 News Report, 2008).
Give that 16 year old an Oscar.
A report in the Springfield News Leader, dated Sunday 16th March 2008, records that Dee Dee and now, 13 year old Gypsy, decked out in a furry pair of Winnie The Pooh slippers, read a prepared speech, waffling on about how her and Dee Dee are, "a pair of shoes. Never good without the other".
It is recorded in the article that Dee Dee put in 300 hours of 'sweat equity' in helping to build the home.
We wonder where Gypsy was when Dee Dee was off labouring?
Perhaps she was at home alone practicing her speech.

Neighbour Aleah Woodmansee described Gypsy as, "One of the happiest people I had ever met. And yet she was the most sick I had ever met at the same time". (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2017).
Aleah says of the relationship between Dee Dee and Gypsy, "It was like the dream relationship between any mother and daughter". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Neighbour Kimberly Blanchard presented Dee Dee as a doting mother, "This (Gypsy) was her child. She knew she was sick. She was just going to love her, unconditionally, until she couldn't any more". (Gypsy's Truth And Lies, 2017).
Kimberly Blanchard also says, "Dee Dee treated everybody around her like family. It was very important to Dee Dee for Gypsy to have a fulfilled life before she passed". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Kimberly Blanchard's husband, David, allegedly no relation to Dee Dee or Gypsy, recalls, "Every time we saw them, they were always happy and go lucky and wanted to help." (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Strike that.
Give that 16 year old alleged victim of medical and child abuse two Oscars.

Meanwhile, back in Cut-Off, Louisiana, 700 miles away from Dee Dee and Gypsy's home in Springfield, 1,400 miles away from the location for the 2017 premiere of 'Mommy Dead And Dearest' which both Rod and Kristy attended, there's still no physical movement from Rod and Kristy Blanchard to see Gypsy.

Rod says that after Dee Dee moved out of Louisiana, "She's (Dee Dee) telling me she's (Gypsy) got cancer. She's shaving her head. Taking pictures of both of them shaving their heads.(We're pretty sure if Rod Blanchard had photos of Dee Dee shaving Gypsy's head, Kristy would have buzzed them through to TMZ by now). So that was pretty elaborate, to go from chromosome disorder, now she's got cancer. I couldn't fathom that the chromosome disorder had anything to do with cancer". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
So, believing that his much loved and greatly missed daughter had cancer, Rod, without hesitation, jumped into his car and headed off in Gypsy's direction.
Nope.
And for the record, chromosomal abnormalities do play a role in the development of cancer.
Kristy Blanchard reports, "Y
ou're supposed to love and protect your children how could you do this to your child?" and, "I still don't understand why you put your child through this". (Mommy Dead And Dearest, 2017).
Kristy Blanchard is talking about Dee Dee here, not Rod.

Kristy says, "Her (Gypsy) leukaemia, her Mic-key button, we didn't think that she would live a long life and everything. I mean chromosome are missing, and there was so much when people would ask me, 'Oh, what Gypsy has wrong with her?' And I'm like, the lists are shorter of what she doesn't have. (Laughing) That's pretty much how I explained it". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
So, believing that Rod's apparently much loved and greatly missed daughter had cancer, Kristy, a mother herself, encouraged Rod to jump in his car and head off in Gypsy's direction.
Nope.
It has been claimed that when reporters spoke to Rod's close neighbours following Gypsy's arrest, not one of the neighbours were aware that Rod had any other children other than Kristy's children.
They all know now.

A screenshot of Dee Dee and Gypsy's shared Facebook page, 'Snowgypsy Blanchard,' was taken shortly after Dee Dee was murdered in 2015.
There are posts about Gypsy's hospital visits, doctor's appointments, surgeries, tests, test results.
There are images of Gypsy gowned-up pre-surgery, of Gypsy looking forlorn post-surgery.
There was even a post about Gypsy crying and having to take medication to deal with the pain that she's in.
Rod and Kristy Blanchard were Facebook friends with Snowgypsy Blanchard.
Bobby Pitre was friends with Snowgypsy Blanchard.
Dee Dee's siblings were friends with Snowgypsy Blanchard.
Even Rod's sister, Celeste, was friends with Snowgypsy Blanchard.
But not one of them, witnessing Gypsy's health deteriorate before their very eyes, felt alarmed enough, or moved enough, to pay her a visit.

We also know that Rod Blanchard had his own Facebook profile at the time Dee Dee was murdered, as did Kristy.
There was no public outpouring of grief about Gypsy having cancer on Rod or Kristy's Facebook page, in fact, there was little mention of Gypsy at all.
Rod made one single post relating to Gypsy in February 2014, "Dylan and Gypsy, Love yall !!!" 'Snowgypsy Blanchard' responded, "LOVE Y'ALL SOOO VERY MUCH".

Rod's Facebook page was hurriedly deleted shortly after Dee Dee was murdered.
Was it deleted because it didn't reflect his soon-to-be assumed role of concerned father?

Kristy Blanchard made innumerable Facebook posts following Dee Dee's murder.
In one, dated 27th August 2015, Kristy says she didn't know Gypsy could walk.
In another, Kristy confirms that she and Rod knew Gypsy could walk.

When Dee Dee and Gypsy were first reported missing, a 'Praying For Dee Dee And Gypsy' Facebook page was created by Kimberley Blanchard, likely 'encouraged' by her husband, David (Watch his police interview and you'll get it), open to one and all, to show support for the hopeful return of the missing women.
After Dee Dee's body was discovered, it quickly incorporated a 'Go Fund Me' page, to 'help finance Dee Dee's funeral costs'.
Like it was David and Kimberley Blanchard's job to do that?
Kristy Blanchard was, of course, a member of the group.
When people started questioning Kristy's motives behind her 'sudden interest' in Gypsy, as well as asking understandable questions surrounding the Go Fund Me project, they found themselves removed from the group and blocked.
Within days of the group being created, it changed from a 'public' group, to a 'closed' group, to a 'secret' group.
How bizarre.

A quick aside.
A recent TikTok video Kristy Blanchard made, pinned to the top of her account, received over 400,000 views. but just over 3,000 likes.
Every time someone watches one of Kristy Blanchard's hideous social media videos, she gains revenue.
Just saying.

In November 2008, Dee Dee and Gypsy, attend a horse mural dedication service, where Gypsy is photographed for a Springfield News-Leader news article (26th November, 2008) reporting that she used to go to equestrian therapy.
Equestrian therapies are notated in a 2017 medical report, so what we have here could be a rare example of Gypsy speaking the actual truth.

Rod says of Dee Dee and Gypsy, "Their life was full of free stuff, I guess. Fun stuff". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
What 'fun stuff' was Rod Blanchard providing for Gypsy?
What did Rod Blanchard offer them after they lost everything in Hurricane Katrina?
The answer to both questions is, nothing.
Rod inadvertently hits the nail square on the head when he says, "
They were able to take advantage of piggybacking on her (Gypsy) medical condition". (The Killer Thorn Of Gypsy Rose, 2019).
They.
We repeat.
They.

On the day Nicholas Godejohn sets out to catch a greyhound bus on his journey to murder Dee Dee, Gypsy messages him to prewarn him, (8th June 2015, 2.34pm) "You might think I’m spoiled by how my room looks a closet full of name brand clothes".
Without question, Dee Dee spoiled Gypsy, totally overindulging her.
Pampered, cossetted, spoon-fed Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Most of us do it when our children are sick.
We indulge them.
We buy them a toy, put on their favourite TV show, wrap them in a cosy blanket.
We play with them, give them medicine, make them soup, give them hugs.
We attend them.
We give them our full attention.
We do whatever we can to try and distract them from what is causing them pain.
That was Dee Dee's full-time job.
On top of that, Dee Dee over compensated for Rod's absence in Gypsy's life, for Gypsy not receiving the love and attention Rod gave to Kristy's children.
A spoiled child more often than not grows into a spoiled adult, displaying signs of a sense of entitlement and a lack of empathy. They tend to be selfish, immature, attention-seeking and demanding, with a heavy reliance on others for emotional and financial support or practical assistance.
They have impulsive decision making skills, narcissistic traits and a tendency to ignore the word, 'No'.
Sound like anyone you know?

Dr Marc Feldman, speaking about the case in a Law & Crime interview, whilst also promoting one of his books, stated, "Her (Dee Dee) goals were primarily to get attention, get sympathy, get plaudits as this amazing mother of the year, who was so dedicated to her child with multiple medical problems". (Law And Crime Network, 14th November, 2018).
And in our common sense opinion based on actual evidence, Dee Dee's driving force were the freebies which provided her fatherless, sick child with the wonderful life she couldn't afford to give her.
Attention, sympathy, plaudits just came with the territory.

'Altruistic fraud' or 'benevolent fraud' refers to situations where fraudulent actions are taken to benefit others rather than for personal gain.
Dee Dee Blanchard didn't have a wardrobe full of designer clothes. She didn't drive a fancy car or take exotic holidays abroad.
She wasn't dripping in gold and eating out at Michelin star restaurants. She wasn't racing off to get her nails done or to have a facial.
Dee Dee Blanchard didn't indulge herself.
She indulged her child.
That is not a definition of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy.

Dee Dee is potentially guilty of the fraud Greene County Sheriff, Jim Arnott, said was being investigated following her death, "We have unearthed the appearance of a long financial fraud scheme along with this tragic event". (Jim Arnott), but there is no evidence to substantiate that Gypsy was medically abused or over treated, so there is no case for Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy.
And note, Gypsy was not ruled out by Jim Arnott as being involved in the fraud investigation.
A 2025 FOIA placed by Into The Weeds Podcast requested records relating to the alleged fraud Jim Arnott mentions above. The reply they received (seen bottom right) records that no record of a Greene County fraud case exists.
That seems to be at odds with what Jim Arnott reported.

Gypsy claims, "As I was growing up I wanted more independence and that just wasn't okay with her". (Gypsy's Revenge, 2018).
Not true.
What Dee Dee wasn't okay with was Dan.
When Gypsy is asked the undeniable question, 'Do you think your mother loved you? She responds, "I think she loved me in her own way. I think when she had me, she loved me. And I think as a child, she loved me. But I don't think that she too much cared for whenever I grow up".
Untrue.
Dee Dee always loved Gypsy.
Dan.
Dee Dee didn't care for Dan.
Who's Dan?
